Heated Rivalry quickly became one of the most popular TV shows on streaming, and if you loved the show's first season, then you'll be pleased to know that it has now been renewed for a second season.

Apple TV has officially renewed its acclaimed thriller Down Cemetery Road for a second season. The renewal was announced shortly after the season one finale, with Emma Thompson returning as Zoë Boehm and Ruth Wilson set to reprise her role as Sarah Trafford.

The TV show follows the 2003 novel by Mick Herron about a woman who's life turns upside down after her neighbor's house gets burned and a little girl goes missing.

Speaking about the renewal, Thompson said,

“I’m so thrilled that Down Cemetery Road has been enjoyed enough to warrant a second season. The thought of working with the team again, with wonderful Morwenna Banks in the writer’s seat and the indomitable Ruth Wilson who is the best and most brilliant co-star any aging Dame could desire, is frankly far more than I feel I deserve. Zoë Boehm is a punkishly delicious avatar and I can’t wait to pull on her knockoff Doc Martens again. Thanks to everyone who watched! We are go for the next one and it’s all down to you,”
