As mentioned, Little Disasters is dropping on December 11, 2025, with all episodes ready to stream on Paramount+. The show premiered earlier this year in the UK and Ireland on the platform, while this year-end would mark its US release.

The logline of Little Disasters, per IMDb, reads,

"A group of new mother friends are torn apart when one is accused of injuring her baby, fracturing their bond and nearly destroying their families."

The show is by Sarah Baughan, who also wrote The Anatomy of a Scandal, and she isn't the only award-winning name backing the show. It indeed comes with a great cast ensemble to portray the complex characters and their emotional breakdowns after spending 10 years of their lives in close friendship, and one moment takes away this decade-long treasure.

The show comes with a brilliant cast member, with Diane Kruger starring as Jess. Portrayed to be a perfect stay-at-home mom, she discovers a mysterious head injury and brings her baby to the hospital. Liz is played by Jo Joyner, an ER doctor who is forced to decide if the injury is an indication of child abuse. She is the one who makes a crucial choice between protecting her best friend and calling on the social services folks.

The IMDb synopsis of episode 1 of the show reveals that Liz will be calling upon the services, and this will lead to a chain of events that will topple their friendship and bring some dark secrets to the surface. The synopsis reads,

"Jess takes her baby to A&E. Liz, duty Doctor and friend, calls Social Services."

Shelley Conn plays Charlotte, and Emily Taaffe appears as Mel in Little Disasters.

Some additional cast members include JJ Feild, Ben Bailey Smith, Patrick Baladi, and Stephen Campbell Moore. These actors take on major supporting roles that deepen the story’s psychological and emotional stakes.

The trailer sets the tone perfectly, stating how affection is an illusion and that one small event can break that illusion forever. When Jess reaches the hospital with her small daughter, Lez explains how such an injury has the potential to trigger an investigation. This is how the trailer sets up the synopsis for us and intrigues the viewers to look forward to what will happen next.
