Little Disasters is making its way to Paramount+, so mark your calendars for December 11, 2025.

All six episodes are dropping in one go, at least if you are tuning in from outside the UK and Ireland. The show is ripped straight from Sarah Vaughan’s 2020 novel. It explores motherhood, trust issues, and suspicion. The story follows some old friends who get caught up in a serious mess, and then everything starts unraveling.

If you are in the UK or Ireland, you probably already saw it back in May 2025. For everyone else in the US, Canada, GSA countries, and Latin America, December is your shot. The cast includes Diane Kruger and Jo Joyner in charge. And since it’s a limited series, you don’t have to worry about it dragging. In six episodes, the story is wrapped up.

The release plan for Little Disasters is now official. Paramount+ has confirmed the details.

The show will premiere on Thursday, December 11, 2025. It will be released in all regions outside the UK and Ireland. All six episodes will drop on the same day.

For viewers in the United States, Canada, Germany, Austria, Switzerland (GSA), Italy, and Latin America, December 11 is the full release date.

There will be no weekly episodes. The entire story will be available at once. Viewers can binge all six episodes in one go. The show already premiered earlier in the year in the UK and Ireland in May 2025.

So December 11 is both the U.S. release date and the global relaunch for many other countries.

What is Little Disasters about?

Little Disasters is more than a normal thriller. It is a psychological drama. It focuses on motherhood, friendship, trust, and the fragile ties between people.

The show is created by Ruth Fowler. It is written by Ruth Fowler and Amanda Duke. It is directed by Eva Sigurðardóttir. It is produced by Roughcut Television with Fremantle.

The series is based on a novel by Sarah Vaughan. The story follows four pregnant women. They become friends during pregnancy. One of them is Jess, played by Diane Kruger. Jess brings her baby daughter to the hospital. The baby has a mysterious head injury.

Another friend, Liz, played by Jo Joyner, calls social services. That one call changes everything. It starts a chain of suspicion, betrayal, guilt, and fear. Their friendship begins to fall apart. Soon, the lives of everyone involved start to unravel.

Some critics have praised Little Disasters for how it handles the dark themes of motherhood, guilt, and social pressure.

One review from The Big Smoke gave it strong praise. The reviewer said the show shows the chaos, shame, and silence of early motherhood very well. They called it a strong British mystery series. They also said it is not afraid to make viewers uncomfortable.

The acting has received special praise. The main actors are Diane Kruger, Jo Joyner, Shelley Conn, and Emily Taaffe. Reviews say the cast absolutely nails it, meaning that you buy what they are selling. Nothing about it feels fake or overdone.

Critics keep lumping it in with all those other shows about secrets and drama at home, but it has got more going on than just some whodunit. What really makes it hit different is how deep it gets into guilt, shame, judging each other and themselves. That’s where the real magic happens.

One article called it “domestic dramas with secrets and betrayals.” This suggests the show also has melodramatic elements.

Viewer reactions on sites like IMDb are mostly positive. One IMDb review calls the show “very enjoyable and entertaining.” It also praises the tight story and the strong acting. On IMDb, Little Disasters has a user rating of 7.1 out of 10. This score is based on about 1,000 user ratings.
