Love Is Blind's Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton have welcomed their first child after years of trying to conceive. The pair, who became fan favorites on Season 1 of Netflix's Love Is Blind in 2018, announced the birth of their son, Ezra William Hamilton, on October 1. Their path to parenthood included a four-year reproductive struggle that they kept mostly private while being in the public eye.

Lauren, 37, and Cameron, 35, shared the news in an interview with People and subsequent social media posts. Preeclampsia complications necessitated hospitalization, causing the birth to occur sooner than intended. Lauren spent several days recovering before bringing their baby home. The couple met and fell in love on the dating experiment show where singles get engaged without seeing each other.

They married on Love Is Blind and have maintained one of its most successful relationships. Lauren has built a significant social media presence with over 2 million Instagram followers. While they openly discussed many aspects of their lives, fertility remained a sensitive topic until they addressed it on their podcast The Love Seat in 2024. They announced the pregnancy in May 2025, marking the culmination of their long-awaited dream.

Love is Blind: Lauren and Cameron welcome home a baby

Ezra William Hamilton made his debut ahead of his due date. Medical complications led to an unexpected preeclampsia diagnosis for Lauren. She required several days of hospital care before delivery. The family has since focused on recovery and adjusting at home.

Lauren described the experience on social media, crediting faith for their son's arrival. She emphasized taking time to heal and rest. The Love Is Blind couple has embraced the slower pace needed during these early weeks. Cameron described becoming parents as feeling surreal after their long attempt to conceive. Late-night feedings and diaper duties have grounded the reality. He expressed gratitude for every aspect of new parenthood.

The parents chose Ezra for reasons beyond simply liking how it sounds. The Hebrew name translates to "help" in English. Its selection involved an emotional family connection. After Lauren's father passed away, the couple sorted through his possessions and discovered a Bible that had belonged to his mother. When they opened the book, it was turned to the Book of Ezra, and a photograph of Lauren's father fell from its pages. Lauren viewed this moment as meaningful guidance in choosing their son's name.

The couple addresses fertility challenges

Questions about children followed the couple throughout their marriage. Other Love Is Blind participants had babies, making the topic more frequent. Lauren and Cameron found these inquiries difficult while privately struggling.

They first discussed fertility on their podcast in 2024. Lauren acknowledged the challenge of opening up about such personal matters and stressed the importance of sharing their experience so others facing similar situations could relate. Cameron noted the wait made finally holding their son even more profound. Lauren has adapted quickly to motherhood, according to her husband, who praised her attentiveness to their baby's needs, even when Ezra resists wearing his tiny socks and hat.

Love Is Blind streams exclusively on Netflix, with new episodes dropping every Wednesday.
