Netflix's Love is Blind Season 8 premiered on February 14, 2025. The social experiment introduced 32 singles looking for their romantic connection. They entered the show to find their partner based on their emotional connection rather than physical one.
Among the participants, the show witnessed five engaged couples advancing further in the social experiment. They were:
- Sara and Ben,
- Monica and Joey,
- Lauren and David,
- Virginia and Devin,
- Taylor and Daniel
However, as Netflix released on March 4, 2025, one more couple got engaged off-camera. They are Kylie and Brian. While they participated in Love is Blind Season 8, their connection was not selected as one of the couples to advance on the show.
So, what happened between Kylie and Brian? Here are all the exciting details!
Love is Blind Season 8: Netflix reveals an off-camera engaged couple - Kylie and Brian
On March 4, 2025, Netflix via Tudum revealed the latest update about a newly engaged couple. Kylie, 28, is a medical student, and Brian, 30, is a wine bar owner. Fans might have witnessed the two in the initial episodes of the social experiment.
As per the show's format, some participants found their romantic connection, Brian and Kylie were also among them. However, the show-makers did not select them for the Love is Blind's next phase.
Upon not being selected, Brian was relieved, as he shared via his Tudum interview:
"It felt almost like a weight off our shoulders. Now we can do our own thing and figure out our lives on our own."
However, Kylie thought otherwise:
"You go on this experiment, and it's such a unique and intense experience. Obviously, you do want to see your story reflected. People are like, 'Well, this couple must be boring,' or, 'Producers must not have seen it working out for them."
Love is Blind Season 8: What happened between Kylie and Brian?
After leaving the experiment, Kylie and Brian were supposed to head home. When Kylie didn't find Brian at the airport, she suspected he might have missed his flight. Despite her bags already checked in along with some of the other female participants, Kylie didn't board the flight:
"I just turned around (in the security line) and went back for him. I ran down the escalator, found Brian, and we missed our flights together. We spent the rest of the day trying to figure out how to get back to Minnesota and did an airport bar crawl."
After reaching home, they decided to have a "romantic getaway" to Mexico. As they learned they were not among the couples leaving for Honduras, Kylie was disappointed:
"Obviously you don't think (your story is not going to be followed), but we always talked about going somewhere regardless."
After returning home, Kylie and Brian, like the five engaged couples on Love is Blind, spent time together in each other's daily lives.
Referring to their friendships with fellow pod-squad members, Kylie shared that all the relationships they formed since the pods phase have been "closer" than the other seasons of the social experiment.
Love is Blind star Brian told Tudum how there had been a "lot of cringe" and so many things about their (pod) friends they learned as their stories unfolded in the experiment.
For fans who are wondering, Kylie and Brian have been spending more time together. They met each other's loved ones, just like the engaged couples on the show did. Kylie and Brian also went to Texas to meet Kylie's sister. The female cast member referred to it as:
"Unique opportunity to let things grow organically."
However, Love is Blind star Kylie also mentioned that she and Brian no longer have the pressure or time frame under which they had to get married. They are "just letting things happen" and moving forward at their own pace.
Netflix will release Love is Blind Season 8 Finale on March 7, 2025, followed by The Reunion on March 9.
