Love Is Blind: France Season 1 Premiere Recap: The experiment begins as singles enter the pods and sparks fly with an early proposal

Love Is Blind: France Season 1 premiered on September 10, 2025. The first episode of the new season introduced singles entering the blind date phase of the experiment.

Hosted by Teddy Riner and Luthna Plocus, the reality show features hopeful singles looking for genuine romantic connections. Participants went on their first blind dates, followed by the dates of their choosing.

The first episode showed a few growing connections, including Kim-Thomas, Kim-Clement, Thomas-Tatiana, Thomas-Kim, Chloe-Alex, and more.

Netflix describes the first episode of Love Is Blind: France Season 1 as:

"Teddy Riner and Luthna Plocus welcome French singles to the experiment. As dating begins in the pods, one couple's strong connection leads to a proposal."

Love Is Blind: France Season 1 Episode 1 Recap: As singles start the blind dates phase, a few find themselves in messy situations

The first episode of the experiment began with the show hosts explaining how different phases of the show would work. Soon after, they sent singles into the pods to start their first blind dates.

After their initial blind dates on Love Is Blind: France Episode 1, singles could choose which of the other singles they wanted to go on further dates with. One of those dates was between Chloe, 32, a physical therapist, and Gallien, 35. Her second date was with Vincent. She told the cameras about feeling unlucky in love.

"I was betrayed, and my whole world came crashing down around me. It was brutal because I was deeply in love with that person. But now I wanna give myself another chance to find true love and a man who's sincere."

Chloe's next date was with Alexandre. After she mentioned living in Guadeloupe, he said his mother was from there. The two quickly felt a strong connection.

Love Is Blind: France star Alexandre said he was "very in tune" with his emotions and didn't hide them. When he said Chloe seemed "super cool" and her energy was "awesome," she replied that she was sending signals to him.

Tatiana, who owns several businesses and hair salons, had a date with Andy, 37. Her second date was with Julien, 31. She told the cameras that she felt scared of getting rejected because she was a single mom.

She had another date with Vincent, 35, followed by a date with Thomas, 37.

"I have a little girl. Her name's Charlie, and she's eight. And, she's my joy," shared Love Is Blind: France star Thomas.

Listening to him, Tatiana became emotional. Thomas also mentioned that he was already happy and was looking for someone to share his happiness with. She shared that she has a son, Timothy, who is 10. As they talked more, they discovered that they grew up in the same town.

Later in the Love Is Blind: France episode, Charles, 37, went on a date with Julie, 34. He said that they connected over their "complicated" family situations.

"We're like two little birds with broken wings," confessed Julie.

Charles also had a date with Sarah, 33. They connected over various topics, including their love for combat sports. Kim had a date with Clement. While she was looking for someone ambitious, she found that and more qualities in him. Kim's second date was with Thomas. It also went quite well, as they shared similar interests in many areas.

After her date with Clement, she confessed to the cameras:

"I really clicked with Clement, but, uh, Thomas, I really like him. I like him a lot. He's adorable. We have mutual business projects. I can't wait to talk about it again."

After a few dates, Chloe and Alex developed stronger feelings for each other. During one of their dates, after she sang a song for him, Alex also wanted to read something to her. He got down on one knee and read his feelings aloud. It was his proposal, which Chloe accepted with tears of happiness in her eyes.

Another potential couple on Love Is Blind: France was Kim and Thomas. They were also growing closer through more blind dates. The two talked about their family members and more. His other strong connection was with Tatiana.

After discovering that Kim was Thomas's other strong connection, Tatiana went to talk to her. However, the first episode ended before the two could have a chance to chat.
