Love Is Blind UK is set to return for its second season on Wednesday, August 13, with Netflix confirming the hit dating experiment will once again take viewers back to the pods. The new season will follow singles from across the UK and Ireland as they form emotional connections in the pods.
Without seeing each other, the couples agree to get engaged and then face the challenges of moving in together, planning a wedding, and testing their physical chemistry before walking down the aisle.
Episodes will be released in three batches: Episodes 1-4 on August 13, Episodes 5-8 on August 20, and Episodes 9-10 on August 27. Matt and Emma Willis will return as co-hosts, guiding participants through the highs and lows of the experiment.
What’s new in Love Is Blind UK season 2?
Love Is Blind: UK has been reuniting fans with the pods since its debut, and after a year filled with memorable moments in Season 1, it is set to return with a fresh group of singles. Netflix confirmed the renewal, with Emma Willis saying, “We have got some news for you,” and Matt Willis adding,
“We’ve not been able to stop feeling the feels, so we are bringing you another dose of love!”
Emma continued,
“That’s right, Love Is Blind UK will be back on your screens, returning for season 2 next year!”
Matt said they had seen all the tweets, comments, and conversations from Season 1 and were excited to introduce a new group of British singles searching for love in the pods. Emma wrapped up the announcement by telling viewers to get ready to fall back in love with love and discover whether it is truly blind.
The Love Is Blind UK Season 2 cast will include participants aged 26 to 37, featuring a professional dancer, a single father, and a dating app founder. More details about their backgrounds and dating histories will be revealed closer to the release.
The show’s format remains unchanged, with singles meeting, connecting, and getting engaged without seeing each other before deciding whether to marry. Matt and Emma Willis will once again host the Love Is Blind UK season.
The pair, married since 2008 and parents to three children, also spoke about their experience working together on the show. Matt said it was “really fun, great working with my wife, which is nice.” Emma explained,
“People have asked us quite a few times over the years if we’d ever do anything together again, and we’ve always said we would, but only if it made sense. We didn’t want to do things for the sake of it, and this kind of made sense! They needed a married couple! We watched it and were banging on the door like, ‘Yes, please let us in!’”
For those interested in being part of future seasons, casting for Love Is Blind: UK Season 3 is already open. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and based in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
