Love Island USA Season 7 becomes the second most-watched show in America, surpassing 1 billion views

It has just been two weeks, but Love Island USA Season 7 has already etched its name in history. It has now become the second most-watched series in the United States and crossed over 1 billion viewers in total.

By the time it had 9 episodes available on parent network NBC's streaming platform, Peacock, the show had already become a hit.

Luminate has published streaming data that claims that Love Island USA has grown its popularity now more than ever. The first episode of the show had about 355 million viewers. The following week, the data showed 1.2 billion.

Given the fact that the show airs in real time and unfolds as the events keep happening in the villa, we can expect the show to only grow in popularity from here.

It should be noted that season 7 of Love Island USA had a base to launch off from. The 6th season had set an expectation when it suddenly got popular in all of America after a month of airing its episodes.

This gave season 7 a chance to outshine the 6th one, watching from afar, like a proud parent. It will be interesting to see if the current one will pass the popularity of its predecessor or not.

Love Island USA fans think Huda is the reason for season 7's popularity

When the news of Love Island USA season 7 surpassing a billion views was announced, fans voiced their opinions and claimed that the main driving force behind it all has to be Huda.

And rightly so, her relationship with Jeremiah has been the talk of the town. Even inside the villa, the other islanders could not help but talk about the entire relationship.

Other notable names include Ace Green, whom fans love to discuss. He has become a "ring leader" to Nic and Taylor, as Austin would like to describe it, and is often seen guiding them around.

The two often consult with his opinion. He is also in controversial waters because of how he treated Amaya and paired up with her, even though he liked Chelley.

As for Huda, she had not one, not two, not three, but a lot of crash outs in the past few episodes where all the attention was on her. However, with the very recent episode of Love Island USA releasing, she seems to be okay with her ex-partner Jeremiah being with Iris and moving on.

Fans on Twitter have also noted the budget of season 7 and how much it has increased. They just featured rap artist Megan Thee Stallion on the show to host the challenge and talk with the girls, which was a good marketing move.

The cast seems to be catching the attention of viewers from all over the world, and it will be interesting to see where things go from this point on.
