Jeremiah's partner, Huda Mustafa, took issue with Iris’s kiss during the challenge, calling her a “b*tch” and telling her to stop, as shown in the episode.

However, Jeremiah pushed back against Huda’s reaction, telling her she had participated in the same challenge by kissing new male contestants. In his confession, he said he was frustrated by what he called Huda’s “crazy” behavior. Their relationship had already been under pressure, and this confrontation brought that tension to the surface.

While Huda and Jeremiah were previously one of the more stable pairs on Love Island USA, issues had started to emerge in Episode 8, when Huda told Jeremiah that she had a young daughter. Although Jeremiah initially said he was fine with the news, his behavior began to shift.

Huda noticed that he seemed more open to other connections, and in Episode 9, his reaction to Iris's kiss and Huda’s subsequent response highlighted growing friction.
