The Price of Confession, the Netflix K-drama that premiered on December 5, 2025, has gained considerable praise due to its addictive storyline. Created by Kwon Jong-gwan, the show follows a woman, Ahn Yoon-soo, whose husband dies mysteriously. She is suspected of killing him and was thus sent to prison. To prove her innocence, Ahn Yoon-soo makes a deal with Mo-eun, who is known as a witch in the prison, but the situation quickly spirals out of control.

Lies Hidden in My Garden (2023)

Lies Hidden in My Garden follows two women, Moon Joo-ran and Chu Sang-eun. Moon Joo-ran is married to a doctor and lives a happy and comfortable life. However, she soon discovers an odd smell in her garden. Chu Sang-eun, on the other hand, is a poor pregnant woman who lives in a small rented house and is married to an abusive husband.

Chu Sang-eun's life also takes a sudden turn when her husband dies. The show follows these two women who lead vastly different lives, but get involved in a mystery that involves them both. Karma (2025)

Karma follows several strangers whose lives get interconnected after a single crime has been committed. We see that Park Jae-young is drowning in debt and makes a terrible choice, which leads to a chain of reactions. A mysterious death and a shocking accident occurred. To cover up the crimes, the doctor, his lover, and a witness's lives are also jeopardized.

While each character is scared of the truth getting revealed, some are also greedy, and we soon see how hidden deals and connections were made. Each character tries to escape the consequences of their actions, but every decision they take pushes them further into trouble. Like The Price of Confession, Karma is a chilling thriller, but also a mystery. Both involve deals being made involving heinous crimes, which lead to more complications. One Ordinary Day (2021)

One Ordinary Day centres on Kim Hyun-soo, a hardworking college student whose life changes overnight. On an ordinary evening, he borrows his father’s taxi to meet friends, when a strange young woman gets into the car by mistake. Hyun-soo doesn't think much of it and decides to drive her to her destination. But that leads him to serious trouble, and he becomes the main suspect in a crime he doesn’t even understand.

Hyun-soo faces harsh police questioning and public judgment. No one believes he's innocent, and as he struggles to survive and prove his innocence, the only people who support him are an unusual lawyer and a prisoner who has a lot of influence in jail. Like The Price of Confession, the protagonist is accused of a crime she hasn't committed, and the crime that took place is an extremely mysterious one, something the show slowly solves. One Ordinary Day is streaming on Viu.

Nine Puzzles (2025)

Nine Puzzles follows Yoon E-na, a woman haunted by the death of her uncle, whom she found dead when she was a teenager. When she found his deceased body, there was a strange puzzle piece nearby, but her memory of that day isn't a complete one. Years later, E-na grows into a skilled criminal profiler working with the police.

Just as she tries to move on, a series of new murders begins, each connected by the same puzzle pieces. E-na teams up with a detective, and together they try to solve the case and figure out what happened to E-na's uncle and the new victims. Both Nine Puzzles and The Price of Confession involve a protagonist trying to find out how their loved one died mysteriously. In both shows, the stakes rise gradually, and viewers realise these aren't just simple murders. Nine Puzzles is streaming on Disney+.
