Lovely Runner was a true romantic comedy at its core, with the added bonus of time-travelling and all the giant feelings that come with first loves. The out-of-the-box plotline of this gem of a K-drama thoroughly impressed its romance-loving audience. Additionally, the actors in this heartwarming K-drama manage to brilliantly portray the intricate narrative of the drama.

Lovely Runner: A cast and character guide to this tvN K-drama
The wholesome K-drama Lovely Runner has been directed by Yoon Jong-ho and Kim Tae-yeob, who have also directed the critically acclaimed drama When My Love Blooms. Lee Si-eun, the screenwriter for True Beauty, another well-loved K-drama, was the screenwriter for this project, where even the complex multiple timelines are unable to take away from the emotional depth and charm and romance of the drama.
Ryu Sun-jae, played by Byeon Woo-seok
Ryu Sun-jae is at the centre of the characters in this charming K-drama. He is a budding singer (at the start) who used to be Im Sol's neighbour when they were in high school. The drama is pushed to its start when Ryun Su-jae, lead vocalist in Eclipse, at the height of his fame, suddenly dies, and Im Sol decides to travel back in time and rewrite the moments of his life that led to his untimely and shocking death.
Byeon Woo-seok has also starred in notable dramas like Moonshine, Strong Girl Nam-soon, Welcome to Waikiki 2, and Search: WWW
Im Sol played by Kim Hye-yoon
The South Korean actress Kim Hye-yoon plays the female lead Im Sol in this K-drama. When she finds out that the star, whom she is an ardent fan of, and whom she knows from her high school days, has shockingly died, she decides to go on a mission of travelling back in time and changing the past that led to this future. This comes with its own challenges as she is forced to confront the reality that it might be impossible to change the future, no matter how hard or how many times she tries.
Kim Hye-yoon was previously seen in shows like Extraordinary You, SKY Castle, and The Girl on a Bulldozer.
Kim Tae-sung played by Song Geon-hee
Even though we fall in love with Im Sol and Ryu Sun-jae from the get-go in Lovely Runner, Kim Tae-sung's character shines brightly as the second lead in the drama. He might come off as just the rebellious high-school heartthrob at the start of the drama, but as time passes, he's revealed to be a man of many layers. His obvious feelings for Im Sol are visible to everyone, but he continues to support her no matter what while she tries to time travel in the past to change the future where Ryu Sun-jae dies.
Apart from his outstanding performance in Lovely Runner, Song Geon-hee was also seen on SKY Castle and Missing: The Other Side.
Baek In-hyuk played by Lee Seung-hyub
Last, but not least, is Baek In-yuk, played by actor and rapper Lee Seung-hyub, who was also seen in dramas like Must You Go?, All Boys High, Big Picture House, and All the Love in the World Season 3. Baek In-hyuk is a friendly guy, Sun-jae's best friend, and the lead guitarist of Eclipse, a famous band in the K-drama Lovely Runner.
