Low Life, the new South Korean period drama, premiered on 16th July 2025 on Disney+. Written and directed by Kang Yun-seong, the show revolves around a struggling uncle and nephew duo who travel to retrieve antique items from where they are buried off the coast of Sinan. Chairman Chun funds their trip and promises to buy what they bring back.
However, things go awry, and they are soon left without funding on a boat with strangers who share the same goal.
Like many shows that get released on Disney+ and others like it, Low Life had a three-episode premiere and will release the rest of the episodes weekly. But it Low Life release schedule isn't going to be a traditional one. Here's all you need to know about the Low Life release schedule.
Low Life release schedule
The show follows Gwang-seok, who is the uncle of his nephew Hee-dong. They have been struggling financially and somehow feeding their family by committing petty theft and small scams. But that isn't sustainable. That's why, when they are offered to retrieve ceramics buried deep in the sea by an antique dealer, Song, the duo accepts.
There is just the problem of funding. The duo is already struggling and cannot afford to travel to the place where the ceramics are buried, off the coast of Sinan. Chairman Chun offers to fund their trip and promises to buy everything they retrieve. However, Gwang-seok and Hee-dong aren't the only ones looking for these buried ceramics.
Many others hear of the buried ceramic and flock to retrieve some themselves. Thus, they join the duo, and all set out to find the valuable items on the same boat. Suddenly, Chun's wife, who controls his finances, stops the funding right before Gwang-seok and Hee-dong can retrieve the ceramic. The show will now tell us how the group survives when everyone has the same intentions and will do anything to get their hands on the valuables.
The show was released on Disney+ on 16th July 2025 with three episodes: The Rumor, Bring in the Pros, and Outlaws of the Sea. The show is set to have eleven episodes and will be released weekly on Wednesdays. The next remaining eight episodes will be released two at a time. Thus, Low Life's release schedule is as follows:

The cast of Low Life includes Ryu Seung-ryong as Oh Gwang-seok, Yang Se-jong as Oh Hee-dong, Im Soo-jung as Yang Jung-sook, Chairman Chun's wife, Kim Eui-sung as Professor Kim, Kim Sung-oh as Im Jeon-chul, and Kim Jong-soo as Song.
