Manifest is Netflix's supernatural drama series that concluded in June 2023 after four successful seasons.

The series follows the passengers aboard Montego Air Flight 828 traveling from Jamaica to New York City. After facing a period of severe turbulence mid-air, the flight finally landed at JFK but the passengers realized that five and a half years had passed in between, during which they were presumed dead.

While Manifest continued to build mystery throughout three seasons and expanded on the passengers' mysterious callings, the final season featured a shocking revelation. The 828ers learn that their death date actually marks a worldwide apocalypse and they race against time to stop the volcanic eruption and save their loved ones.

So what happened on the Judgement Day and which of the passengers survived the apocalypse?

Here is the complete breakdown of how Manifest ended.

As the Death date in the Season 4 finale approached, the 828ers were called to Storm King Mountain to board the flight for one final time. While Angelina tried to manipulate the others using her Sapphire powers (and create a family of her own), Cal sacrificed himself to make way for the passengers to board the flight. Once aboard, the passengers faced their ultimate judgement as a showdowy figure tested their good deeds. The passengers realize that to survive the Death Date, they must repent for their sins and forgive others.

After Ben forgave Angelina for Grace's murder, the flight finally took off as an apocalyptic volcanic eruption began. The 828ers were then put to the ultimate judgment test. While everyone passed and made it out alive, 11 passengers, including Angelina, failed and were converted to ash. As Angelina and her family perished in flames, the passengers' good deeds tipped the scales and Flight 828 was sent back in time to 2013 in the Manifest Season 4 finale.

While Eagan's selfless deed to save Adrian saved them both, Saanvi was spared as she impressively repented for her sins. While Flight 828ers were naturally confused when they reached JFK in 2013, they realized that they were given a second chance at life. The past five years and everything they experienced had really happened for them, but no time passed in the real world.

Manifest ending explained: Flight 828ers made new decisions in 2013

Now that the 828ers were back in 2013 in the Manifest Season 4 ending, it was time to make new and better decisions. In addition to a second chance at life, they were also greeted by their family members who had died during the harrowing events of the show, including Cal and Grace. But Cal was back to his actual age, a beautiful reassurance that he will finally have a normal childhood. As Ben got emotional seeing Cal return from the dead, he reunited with Grace, who had been murdered by Angelina.

The Manifest Season 4 finale featured a twist ending for Michaela and Jared, one where she left him for Drea. Michaela made the best use of this second chance at life and revealed that Jared is meant to be with Drea. As the couple breaks off their engagement, Jared meets Drea outside the airport, the first meeting of the future couple. As characters leave with their family members, Vance arrives at the airport, searching for the missing 11 passengers. The Manifest ending confirms that every 828er survived the apocalyptic ordeal, except Angelina and the 11 people.

Lastly, Michaela got her happy ending with Zeke, after she realized that he was present in one of the cabs the night Flight 828 was about to take off. She approaches Zeke's car, boldly announcing him as her future husband, while he watches on in horror. While Zeke is taken aback by Michaela's claim, she confirms that the couple is a part of “some never-ending story.''

As the credits roll, a voiceover by Michaela reflects how April 7 was “the day life changed'' for the passengers on Flight 828.
