The finale of Marry My Husband, episode 16, wrapped up the story with a heartfelt and satisfying conclusion for its leads, especially Kang Ji-won and Yoo Ji-hyuk. Episode 15 also witnesses Min-hwan's death and Su-min's downfall as she tries to escape justice but is eventually arrested.
On April 12, 2023, in the original timeline, Kang is dead. However, when she travels 10 years in the past and gets a chance to rewrite her destiny, we see her and Hyuk celebrating their 10th anniversary when the timeline again arrives on the same date. This becomes the major highlight of the show. Read on to understand the ending of Marry My Husband in detail.
How does Marry My Husband end?
Marry My Husband ends on a positive note with Kang Ji-won and Hyuk getting married and celebrating their 10th anniversary on the day that marked Kang's death in the original timeline. Ji-won and Ji-hyuk also have 2 children by the end of the show, depicting Ji-Won's living a future she truly deserves. Moreover, what once marked her death now symbolises the life she rebuilt from scratch, with love, growth and new beginnings.
Unlike many complex time-travel K-dramas, Marry My Husband keeps its rules simple. Fate can be passed down, and once it shifts, it creates room for a new timeline. Ji-won’s actions change her future and alter the fates of those around her, for better or worse. Initially, Kang believed that by changing fate, she was giving her second chance to Jung Su-min, but she comes to realize that fate had other plans, and it was Park Min-hwan, Ji-won's abusive ex-husband, who was destined to die instead.
However, as mentioned, Su-min gets arrested while escaping the scene, which finally ends her manipulative reign.
Here are some other happy endings that Marry My Husband features by the end

The finale also brings joy to characters beyond Ji-won. As mentioned, when Ji-won was given a chance to rewrite her destiny, this also created a ripple effect on others' lives. This ended up shaping up two lovely couples by the end of Marry My Husband— Eun-ho and Hee-yeon, and Joo-ran and Seok-joon.
After Min-hwan died in Episode 15, Su-min goes fully unhinged. Still obsessed with destroying Ji-won and unable to accept her own downfall, Su-min becomes the show's final antagonist. Her plan? Break into Ji-won’s apartment and kill her, just like she did in the original timeline. But what Su-min doesn’t know is that this time, Ji-won is ready.
Ji-Hyuk is already tracking Su-min's movements this time, while Ji-won is prepared for the attack. When Su-min storms into the apartment, Ji-won faces her with all her might. Her judo skills come into play here when disarming Su-min in one swift move. Police then take Su-min away not just for attempting to murder Ji-Son but also for Min-hwan's murder, which she tried to frame as an accident.
This marks the end of Su-min’s long-standing rivalry and obsession with Ji-won, one that had started in childhood and grown darker over the years.
Even Ji-hyuk gets a closure, breaking free from the life his grandfather had imposed on him. The disappearing blue heart mark symbolizes that his fate has been successfully transferred and he has been released from borrowed time, signalling that his new life is now fully his own.
