Marvels Vision Quest will directly lead in to Avengers: Secret Wars, details explored

Marvel's Vision Quest is shaping up as a major turning point for the Marvel Cinematic Universe as recent industry chatter suggest that the show will directly lead into Avengers: Secret Wars. Set for a 2026 debut on Disney plus as part of phase six, the show follows the reborn White vision as he searches for identity, memory, and purpose after WandaVision.

Alex Perez, known insider when it comes to Marvel scoops has dropped some serious details about what fans can expect from the upcoming films. As one fan asked him about which projects will be important in leading up to Avengers: Secret Wars, he promptly named Spider-Man: Brand New Day and VisionQuest.

Perez also reinstated that the idea for Young Avengers is still under works, and may take place if a reboot happens in Marvel post the Avengers films. As for if Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are the last Avengers films in the franchise, he stated,

"Absolutely not. The Avengers brand will be retooled moving forward, post-Secret Wars...So, aside from using the Avengers movies for big, world-ending blockbuster team-up stories featuring different groups and factions, they’ll also use the Avengers title for Avengers adventures and stories with an actual group, similar to The Avengers (2012) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). The second thing is that they’re already, as we speak, planning the next Avengers storyline. The current rumor I’ve been hearing for the past two years points to another cosmic storyline, with many different routes they can take."

Avengers: Secret Wars is shaping up like Marvel’s biggest mic drop in years. As the final chapter of the Multiverse Saga and the closer for Phase 6, the movie is carrying an entire decade of setup on its back. The release is locked for December 17, 2027, after wandering through multiple delays from its original May 1, 2026 date and later May 7, 2027. Reports explained that both Secret Wars and Avengers: Doomsday expanded far beyond their initial scale, which pushed Marvel to slow down and stop speed running their own universe.

Storywise, expect a remix of the 2015 Secret Wars arc. That version dealt with multiverse collapses triggered by incursions, engineered by the Beyonders using Molecule Man as a universal failsafe. Doom eventually hijacks the disaster and reassembles reality into Battleworld, reshaping everything until the Avengers take him down. Marvel has been slowly planting seeds for this through Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Loki, The Marvels, Deadpool and Wolverine, and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
