The atmosphere is festive as Maxton Hall fans realize that Season 3 has officially wrapped filming! So no matter if you are a Ruby-James lover or a Lydia and Graham skeptic, you can all exhale because the next chapter is coming, and the first-look photos prove only getting messier. But fair warning: tissues will be required.

Instagram is pumping up fans as @primevideoca teased,

“Ruby & James‘ story is far from over. Filming of Maxton Hall Season 3 has officially wrapped. #MaxtonHallOnPrime.”

Nearly 3,200 likes later, the comments were basically begging for a release date and some reassurance that James would finally get it together.

But let’s talk facts, shall we?

Maxton Hall Season 3 picks up after the cliffhanger

Season 2’s finale dropped the bomb of all bombs! That's when Ruby, the brilliant scholarship girl desperate to reach Oxford, was suspended from Maxton Hall. Her dreams crumble in real time. And every breadcrumb pointed to James.

Season 3 will be digging into the fallout of ambition vs. heartbreak, and more than that, we will look at Oxford vs. total collapse. So even if you're Team “James deserves to suffer,” this season might test your loyalties.

The official logline gives us some solid hints as to what's to come. It tells us that Ruby is fighting for graduation, and James is trying to undo damage that we’re not sure can be undone. After that, their entire circle gets sucked into a hurricane. Ruby and James discover their worlds are more apart than ever, and closing that gap might cost them more than they can spare right now.

Meanwhile, the supporting cast will have explosive chapters too. We're talking about Lydia, Graham, Ember, Wren, Alistair, Kesh, and more.

Sadly, this will be the final season of Maxton Hall

The bittersweet part of Maxton Hall season 3 is that showrunner Ceylan Yildirim has confirmed, based on the third book of Mona Kasten’s series (Save Us), it marks the end of the trilogy. No spin-off is planned as of now, though fans are chanting “BEAUFORT CINEMATIC UNIVERSE” on social media.

But if it’s the end for real, the team will go out with a bang. Yildirim has teased deeper character work and one mega message: love is the real currency. Which means everyone is bankrupt or bankrupting someone!

Filming the final season was tough because hordes of fans swarmed the cast during Season 2 filming. So Season 3 was shot under lockdown-style secrecy. There were privacy fences and security. The only thing more complicated than that was aligning the schedules of breakout actors Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung. They deserve it, though, don't you think?

Musically speaking, we can expect another soundtrack that dominates TikTok after Season 2's hit Forest Blakk’s “If You Love Her” had reached No. 1 on Shazam after just one episode aired. So yes, Season 3 is giving healing and probably a psychological evaluation for James Beaufort.

Maxton Hall – The World Between Us, Seasons 1 and 2, are streaming on Prime Video. Season 3 will also debut on Prime Video.
