Apple TV has an exciting slate set for the month of May 2025. From adventurous thrillers to epic journeys, this summer is going to be groundbreaking for Apple TV. One of the reasons Apple TV is having an exciting year so far is the wide range of content being released on the streaming service. Similar is the slate for May 2025.
Here's everything that you can look forward to from Apple TV this month.
New Arrivals on Apple TV this May
Apple TV has a great combination of shows and films gracing our screens this May 2025. From a return of the Long Way docuseries to a brand-new sci-fi series starring Alexander Skarsgård as a cyborg, the range is commendable.
Long Way Home on May 9
The Long Way docuseries has been revived for a fourth installment and will follow best friends Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor on an epic adventurous journey on their motorcycles. Both Boorman and McGregor are executive producers as well on this series, a journey spread out over 10 episodes.
The duo will be traveling on their refurbished motorcycles from Ewan's home in Scotland to Charley's in England. But, instead of taking the shorter route, they will be on the 'long way,' crossing the North Sea to Scandinavia, all the way to the Arctic Circle, and then back through the Baltic and continental Europe. The duo will be taking
"the scenic route, of course, through 17 European countries on cranky old bikes"
All the while, they will meet and engage with the locals and immerse themselves in the culture of the place they're passing through. The docuseries will premiere on May 9.
Murderbot on May 16
Next up on the release slate, we have Murderbot, a brand-new sci-fi comedic thriller. Adapted from Martha Wells' book of the same name, the series follows a soap opera-loving cyborg who has hacked its security construct and has to hide this fact from the humans who've programmed it. All it wants to do is watch its soap operas in peace, but it's forced to hide its free will and complete dangerous assignments.
Alexander Skarsgård will be playing the cyborg and also serves as an executive producer on the project. The first two episodes of the thriller will premiere on May 16, and a weekly drop will follow every Friday through July 11.
Deaf President Now! On May 16

Another documentary, this time a film, will be premiering in May on Apple TV. Deaf President Now! will be covering the eight days of protests held by the students of Gallaudet University in 1988, after the board of trustees chose to hire a president who wasn't deaf over several overqualified deaf candidates. The protests were held for eight days, ending only when the hearing president resigned and Dr. I. King Jordan, the first deaf president at the university, was hired in his place.
Fountain of Youth on May 23
Starring John Krasinski, Natalie Portman, and Eiza González, among others, this film is an action-adventure that will release on May 23, 2025, exclusively on Apple TV, and will follow:
"two estranged siblings (Krasinski and Portman) who partner on a global heist to find the mythological Fountain of Youth. They must use their knowledge of history to follow clues on an epic adventure that will change their lives … and possibly lead to immortality."

Along with never-before-seen, exclusive footage from the tour, the film features Bono performing many of the iconic U2 songs that have shaped his life and legacy.
