Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 Episode 1 recap: Kyle's prison nightmare and bodies on the tracks

Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 starts by taking the stakes higher for Mike. The fourth season begins right where things were left off in the previous season and connects the dots in a seamless manner. This episode of Mayor of Kingstown Season 2 shows the chaos that gets more and more intense with each passing moment.

Kyle’s prison nightmare and bodies on the tracks in the Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 episode 1

The episode of Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 begins with Mike’s world crumbling down when he finds out that his brother, Kyle, has made a decision that could very much lead to a dangerous path. Choosing to go to prison is not something that Kyle should have done, considering how many enemies he has in prison.

So, when Mike finds out about Kyle’s decision, he tries to help his brother out as much as possible. He starts off by seeking Bunny’s help. However, Bunny’s words of assurance hardly bring any comfort to Mike’s worries. He knows to what extent the prisoners can go to get even with Kyle.

Soon, the time arrives for Kyle to leave for prison. His path ahead is strewn with difficulties. However, it was truly surprising to see him get attacked on the very first day. As soon as Kyle enters the prison, he and the officer he was with get attacked violently. The attacker hit him multiple times, and he was covered in bruises very soon.

Mike soon finds out that all his attempts to keep his brother safe were not fruitful. He is devastated to find out about the attack on his brother. It is also revealed in this episode of Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 that Callahan is involved in this whole situation. The case gets complicated as Mike is aware that his relationship with Callahan would definitely cause difficulty for Kyle in the future.

The stage is all set for more complications to arrive in the next episodes of Mayor of Kingstown Season 4. This episode also brings out yet another complication for Mike besides his brother. At the beginning of the episode, we see a brutal scene. A group of men is tied to the train tracks with a train approaching towards them.

Soon, the approaching train slashes through the men, killing every one of them. Mike soon finds out about this whole situation, and he is completely shocked at the brutality of how the men were killed. It is revealed that the bodies of the victims had tattoos. The type of tattoos indicated that these men were related to the Russian gang.

Mike begins to ask Bunny if he might know something about these brutal murders; however, he does not find any answer. The brutality of the whole situation definitely adds a layer of intrigue for the upcoming episodes. Mike now has a lot on his plate. He needs to solve each complication one by one.

With the brutality that Kyle faces in the very first episode of Mayor of Kingstown Season 4, it can be understood that his path forward will be filled with many more challenges. This season is bringing in the most difficult fights for Mike. The next episode will drop on November 2 at 12 AM P.T. The series is available for streaming on Paramount+.
