The last chapter, Belly of the Beast, not only raised questions but also left many others unresolved. If you desire the gang war of the season to get a magical ending, then you will be disappointed. Some things got sorted, while the other parts remained, and that is the main reason this ending left a strong impression.

With a shocking bang, both figuratively and literally, the finale of the Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 became a real blockbuster. It featured in the gang war between the Crips and the Colombians, where no one actually won. It was thought that Bunny Washington was taking his big victory, as he smashed the cartel's operation and even took the cartel's dog, the Sicario, but the whole thing just got twisted.

Thus, at the end of the Mayor of Kingstown Season 4, Bunny manages to destroy the Colombian cartels right at the moment, while he bags the Sicario, which was a feeling of strong victory. The Crips did not only stick to the streets. They carried on the battle by attacking the Colombians both inside the Anchor Bay prison and outside. Bunny even collaborated with Detroiters. He now has more muscles. And, once Mike McLusky got Frank Moses in jail, Bunny easily grabbed all that Detroit street for himself.

The violence was shocking in the Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 finale, even for this series. Bunny's men showed up at the cartel's garage hideout with deadly machine guns and grenades to blast the place with Cortez and his men inside. Simultaneously with that, the prison got chaotic.

Just when it seemed as if Bunny was in total control, everything started falling apart. Bunny was interrogating the Sicario. He left the room for just a moment, and when he came back, all his guys were dead, and the Sicario was gone. The win turned out to be elusive. It turns out Cortez is still around, and he killed the people who should have tortured him.

So what does all this mean? Well, the war is most definitely not over. If anything, it's turning up the heat. Cortez is at large, Bunny's gang just took a blow, and now everybody's pretty much bracing for the next bang. Kingstown is about to be a real inferno, and Bunny just might be too deep this time. Instead of wrapping it up, it was a warning shot.

In the final episode of the Mayor of Kingstown Season 4, the gang war is still on. But at least, the consequences of the Callahan disaster have finally been tied up. Kyle's brutal decision to kill Callahan without mercy brings closure to everything that went down with Tracy. Callahan has been like a ghost hanging over them for so long, and Kyle just has enough.

It’s not like this came out of nowhere. This has been brewing since the beginning of the season, after Callahan murdered Tracy as payback for Kyle refusing to run with the Aryan Brotherhood. So, when Mike and Ian drive Callahan out to the train tracks, you know they are not about to talk it out. Instead, Kyle doesn't just kill him. He blows the guy's head off. You can see Kyle's inner demons as he decides to give in to the darkness after fighting so hard to stay afloat in corrupt Kingstown.

Callahan had been talking trash to him about Tracy the entire time, but he never stood a chance because Kyle was simply too far gone at that point. In fact, you almost feel sorry for him in the season 4 finale of Mayor of Kingstown.

But what's detrimental is how this affects Kyle. He really tortures Callahan with the way he murders him, and Callahan, being the evil mastermind he is, puts the idea in Kyle's head that maybe it's Mike's fault that Tracy is dead. This could stew for a while. We wouldn't be surprised if next season pits Kyle against Mike. Callahan may be dead, but he is still ruining what's left of the McLusky family.

The Mayor of Kingstown season 4 finale didn't stop at Callahan's death. Roberto Cruz kills guard Kevin Jackson in the midst of the madness at Anchor Bay. One moment, Kevin is up to his usual shady shenanigans for Bunny, delivering a burner phone to Raphael, and the next, he is dead.

Cindy Stephens is a witness to it all. Can you imagine what it would be like to watch your colleague's life drain out of him? Cindy has already seen way too much as a CO at Anchor Bay and is just struggling to pay the bills and take care of her son.

The Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 finale left several narrative threads unresolved, suggesting it could possibly return with a fifth season.
