Below Deck Down Under season 3 episode 14 showed us some tough fights between Tzarina and Lara, all for valid reasons. Fans, however, sided with Tzarina, as they felt Lara had been acting entitled all along and was not a great chief stew.
She, however, has no authority over the chef and her sous chef, but she tried to exercise some in this episode, which resulted in a huge clash later.
It all started with Lara asking Alesia to clean up the crew's mess, but Tzarina stood up for her and said she was already overworked. Lara can find someone in her own department for that.
Later, they got into a row over hot bowls, and Lara refused to serve breakfast because the dish was too hot for her to hold. This resulted in them calling each other swear words. As for the Below Deck Down Under fans, they took to X to comment on their opinion on the whole fiasco.
They claimed that Lara does not adjust with anyone and goes around throwing orders, especially when Alesia complained to her that she is not able to take a single break because she always cleans the crew's mess. But Lara dismissed it and asked her to do the very thing the next morning. A fan wrote,
"tzarina has had experience with lara beforehand. she may not have known how to deal with her on their previous boat but she was ready for her ass on this. lara is a mean girl who needs to be humbled."
"Lara Lara, why can’t you have a real conversation with Tzarina or clean up the crew mess since you have so much time to analyze it being a mess..?!" read another tweet.
"lara has been doing this job long enough to figure out how to take a hot dish out. that isn’t tzarina’s fault," said a fan.
"when tzarina said she’ll talk to the captain about lara. she clocked the hell out of her! that is when you know she officially reached her breaking point with her," wrote a fan.
Below Deck Down Under - Lara and Tzarina's row explored
The Below Deck Down Under episode started after the charter had slept, and Alesia was left cleaning the mess in the dining area. It was late at night, and Tzarina, too, had retired for her bunk.
As Lara stepped downstairs, Alesia told her she was overworked and had no breaks all day. Even though Lara acknowledged it, she was disappointed.
The next day on Below Deck Down Under, Lara asked Alesia to do the same work she was not supposed to be doing as a sous chef. The chief stew asked her to wipe and clean the crew's mess.
However, Tzarina thought this was a "b*tchy" thing to do, and if it was so simple a task that it only took 15 minutes, then one of Lara's team could do it. When she pushed back, Tzarina claimed she would take this issue up with the captain.
Later that day on Below Deck Down Under, when the charter guests were having their last breakfast, Lara came down to the kitchen and refused to serve some bowls that she felt were too hot. However, Tzarina claimed that never in her 16 years of career did she have a problem with the bowls being too hot.
As they got into an argument, Tzarina questioned her work ethic and said that Lara had clocked in late that morning. Later, Tzarina goes to the captain and tells her how Alesia, from her department, is being pulled into doing interior work.
