Cupertino, the legal drama series created by Robert and Michelle King, is all set to premiere on CBS in 2026-27. The Kings, who created The Good Wife and The Good Fight, will also executive produce and write the new series, which will see Mike Colter in the lead role. The series will revolve around a lawyer in Silicon Valley, played by Colter, who will get entangled in a fight against the giants in the tech industry.
Robert and Michelle King will helm Cupertino for CBS. The Kings are currently also working on the hit drama series Elsbeth, which they have co-created. The upcoming legal drama series, which will be produced by CBS Studios, will have the two creators taking on the role of co-showrunners as well. The series will also be executive produced by Liz Glotzer.
Mike Colter played lead in the supernatural drama series Evil by Robert and Michelle King. The series first aired on CBS and later on Paramount+. Colter also had recurring roles in The Good Wife and The Good Fight. Colter has been part of other successful projects such as Luke Cage, The Defenders, American Horror Story and Jessica Jones.

The series will follow the story of a lawyer in Silicon Valley, who finds himself in a fix when he is cheated out of stock-option by a start-up company where he worked. While the moment is disheartening, he does not let it bring him down and instead teams up with an attorney to fight the tech employer. The attorney, who was also fired recently, takes on cases against tech companies.
Set in Silicon Valley, Cupertino will see people come together to fight against titans of the tech industry.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the logline for the upcoming CBS series states,
‘Cupertino is a David vs. Goliath legal drama set in the heart of Silicon Valley that follows a lawyer (Colter) who is being cheated out of his stock options by his former employer, a tech startup. Refusing to back down, he joins forces with another recently fired attorney to represent those taken advantage of by the tech elite and help them fight back in a high-stakes battle against the Goliaths controlling Silicon Valley.’
The series has been in works at CBS for some time, however, in May the pilot script drew positive feedback, and 12 more scripts were commissioned from the writers’ room. Cupertino will be part of CBS roster for 2026-27 season along with the crime drama series Einstein, which will see Matthew Gray Gubler in the lead role.
Cupertino will be produced by CBS Studios. The premiere episode will be directed by Robert King. There have been no further updates about the premiere date or other cast members on the series.
