Miss Scarlet, a fan favorite Victorian mystery series, is back for a sixth season.
This time, we are heading right back to the gritty streets of 19th-century London, with plenty of suspense, fresh faces, and twisty cases that always keep us on our toes. Kate Phillips returns as Eliza Scarlet, sharper and more charming than ever, still pulling in period drama lovers on MASTERPIECE PBS and all the streaming spots.
This time around, Eliza is trying to balance her detective agency with a few curveballs in her personal life, especially as things heat up with Inspector Alexander Blake. The story doesn’t just stick to old formulas. New mysteries, shifting relationships, and tougher challenges all show up to really test Eliza’s limits.
If you are eager to dive in, good news: streamers get first dibs on December 7, 2025, through PBS Passport and the PBS app. Then, the broadcast premiere follows on January 11, 2026, at 8 PM ET on PBS MASTERPIECE. If binging is your thing, you can jump ahead before the weekly episodes roll out.
This season digs even deeper into Victorian London’s dark corners, pushing the whole cast into uncharted territory and keeping you glued to the screen from start to finish.
Release date and premiere details of Miss Scarlet Season 6

Miss Scarlet Season 6 drops early for streaming subscribers on December 7, 2025.
If you have PBS Passport or the PBS app, you can watch the entire season online before anyone else. PBS is doing this to give its members an edge, letting them dive in ahead of the TV premiere.
Not into streaming? No problem. The show hits TV on January 11, 2026, joining PBS MASTERPIECE’s Sunday night lineup at 8 PM ET, right before All Creatures Great and Small. So, whether you like to binge or you prefer waiting for new episodes each week, you are covered.
This season brings six episodes, each one about 53 minutes long, just like before, so there is plenty of time for the story to unfold. And for people in the UK, you will catch the new season on UKTV sometime in 2026. Miss Scarlet is not losing any of its international charm.
Miss Scarlet Season 6 is back with the familiar faces fans love. Kate Phillips steps right back into Eliza Scarlet’s shoes, still as sharp and stubborn as ever. She has even more on her plate this time, juggling tricky cases and her own personal struggles.
Tom Durant-Pritchard is back, too, picking up as Inspector Alexander Blake. The tension between him and Eliza is still there. But it’s more complicated now, as there is teamwork, but their lives are tangled together in ways that make every investigation feel high-stakes.
You will see plenty of the usual crew: Cathy Belton returns as Ivy, who might be a bit nosy but you can always count on her; Simon Ludders is back as Mr. Potts, the coroner who is prickly but rock solid; Paul Bazely as Clarence; and Tim Chipping as Detective Phelps. They are all still incorporated into the heart of the show.
And here is something fans will love: Ansu Kabia is back as Moses Valentine after being away since Season 3. His return brings that familiar spark to Eliza’s circle.
There are some new faces, too. Sam Buchanan steps in as Detective George Willows, the latest recruit at Scotland Yard, and Grace Hogg-Robinson plays Isabel Summers, a lively new clerk working with Ivy. They add a bit of fresh energy and open up brand new storylines.
But not everyone is coming back. Felix Scott (who played the ever-troublesome Patrick Nash) and Evan McCabe (the young detective Oliver Fitzroy) are both out for this season. Their absence shakes things up a bit, pushing the focus onto new mysteries and Eliza’s changing relationships.
What do we expect from Miss Scarlet Season 6?

Miss Scarlet Season 6 jumps right in: Eliza’s detective agency is booming, but her personal life? That’s another story. She is still juggling her work as a detective with her growing feelings for Inspector Alexander Blake. Their relationship isn’t as rocky as it used to be, but working together still isn’t easy. At the same time, Ivy and Mr. Potts are settling into married life, and their storyline brings a bit of warmth and heart to everything.
A shakeup is also going on at Scotland Yard, where some new detectives are taking over, which makes the usual crime-solving more interesting and gives it a new spark. Moses Valentine returns at the right time, appearing just when Eliza and her team need him the most, so that you can tell that things are going to get intense not only in the case files but also among the characters.
