Missing: Dead or Alive showed us how the officers investigated people after they went missing.

A scary number of people go missing in America every day, and most are never found or found dead. Missing: Dead or Alive Season 2 is going to be released soon to show us the investigation behind two more disappearances.

Netflix's Missing: Dead or Alive Season 2: Release date and more

Missing: Dead or Alive Season 2 will be released on Netflix on November 24, 2025. The show's trailer has been released, which revealed that the second season will be dealing with not only one but two missing persons cases. At the beginning, we hear about the case of a young man called Morgan who has gone missing. While officers who are assigned to the Missing Persons Department hope to find victims before they are hurt, in the Season 2 trailer, we see Vicki Rains say that might not be possible this time around.

According to the trailer's description, the logline for Missing: Dead or Alive Season 2 states,

A young woman disappears in the dead of night. A man vanishes without his vital possessions. Police tackle new cases in this chilling true-crime series.

While the synopsis mentions a young girl going missing as well, the trailer doesn't address her case too much, except that her name is Shandon Floyd. But we do get to see bits and pieces of what the upcoming season will feature. The general belief about Morgan's disappearance seems to be that he didn't just disappear randomly, that there's a bigger reason. The Sheriff's department is dedicated to finding the missing people, and we soon see that at least one of the cases leads to something totally unexpected: a homicide.

Season 2 of the show has been highly anticipated because of how they presented real cases in the first season. Through real-life footage, the actual process of investigation, and personal interviews, the docuseries portrays the cases exactly as they are, without glamorizing them. They show us how real cases are solved, which is why the show is as popular as it is.
