Paramount+'s crime drama series, MobLand Season 1, is heading towards an intense, nail-biting finale that is set to release on June 1, 2025. Created by Ronan Bennett, this Tom Hardy and Helen Mirren-starring series delves into the lives of two crime families —the Stevensons and Harrigans —both eyeing a takeover of London's criminal empire.

So if you enjoy watching high-stakes crime dramas with layered characters, underworld secrets, MobLand is a perfect watch. Ahead of the season finale, the viewers are quite hooked on what would happen next in the Harrigans and Stevensons war. Will Richie make a move against the Harrigans? What lies ahead for Kevin after Rusby's murder? What's next for the Harrigans especially after the shocking arrest of Conrad and Maeve?

Here are five theories that you need to know before the MobLand Season 1 finale

5 theories you need to know before MobLand Season 1 finale

1) Kevin's son Eddie is Conrad's biological child

MobLand Episode 8's reference to Kevin's other brother ignited speculation/theory that Eddie, long thought to be Kevin's son, is Conrad and Bella's son. The emotional volatility Kevin displays whenever Eddie is mentioned, and Conrad's parental tones, add fuel to this theory. If this theory is true, it reaffirms Kevin's motivations and emotional distance. However, it also puts Bella in a powerful position as she has manipulated both brothers.

2) Kat McAllister's favors may turn Harry into a wild card

Kat McAllister's role remains murky, but the fact that Harry owes her two favors is no small matter. The prevailing theory is that Kat is either an MI6 asset or a rogue intelligence operator with a deeper agenda. Her plan? To use Harry as a scalpel to dismantle the Harrigans. If she calls in for a favor, that might clash with Harry's loyalties, he might have to choose between two families (especially something against the Harrigans), which could flip his entire arc.

3) Bella's sneaky arms diplomacy

Bella Harrigan's storyline has been tricky and quite mysterious, especially about her connections to her father (a politically connected figure) and Antoine (a mysterious French businessman posing as a sanctioned Syrian arms dealer). The theory? Bella might be orchestrating a geopolitical power move, not just for her gain but to displace her family's criminal legacy with a new international syndicate backed up by some political motives. Her meeting with the Home Secretary proves she is now positioning herself as a broker of the global arms flow.

4) Tattersall & Alice are walking into a Harrigan trap

Tattersal's plan to plant Harrigan's DNA via Alice seemed to be risky, perhaps intentional. Fans are now theorizing that the Harrigans allowed the DNA to be taken, knowing Tattersal's real plan was to hand it to Richie Stevenson. If the Harrigans suspect betrayal, this could be their countermove-setting up Tattersal to fall into his own trap. With Harry letting Alice go easily, it looks like he's playing the long game, setting up the plot for a major reveal.

5) O'Hara, Harrigans family lawyer might be the rat, and Harry already suspects her

The search for the rat/mole within the Harrigan operation has narrowed in on O'Hara, with mounting circumstantial evidence linking her to Richie's intel pipeline. Freddie's death and Maeve's arrest both appear to be moves coordinated by someone with complete access. But if Harry already suspects her, why hasn't he pointed it out? The theory is that Harry is surveilling O'Hara, waiting for her to lead him to Richie's inner circle.

As MobLand heads into its finale, these theories prove that anything can happen. With so many secrets and shifting loyalties, the real question isn't who will win but about survival.
