Fans are super excited for the upcoming K-drama, Moon River, as it will bring back fan-favorite stars: Kim Se-jeong (Business Proposal) and Kang Tae-oh (The Potato Lab) in titular roles with a story that's engaging and unique to explore.

It's been a while since Kim appeared in a K-drama after Business Proposal, and now she's finally returning to take on a role in the soul-swapping story. Yes, you read that right!

This is going to be a K-drama with a soul-swapping twist between two incredibly distinct people. While one is the crown Prince, the other is just a commoner who earns by working as a merchant in the village.

It was initially planned to come out at the end of October 2025, but the release date of the Moon River episode 1 has now been shifted to Friday, November 7, 2025 on the MBC TV channel in Korea and Viki for international fans.

The best part about Moon River is that the K-drama is packed with fantasy, romance, comedy and is a historical drama or Sageuk as we say in Korean. The plot revolves around the main magical event when two souls are swapped between a man who happens to be a Prince and a quirky woman, who is a commoner.

While Kang Tae-ho plays the emotionally drained Crown Prince Yi-gang, Kim Se-jeong will be seen playing Park Dal-yi. Unlike the royal man, Dal-yi is a cheerful and strong-willed merchant who lost her memory.

Following this event, Dal-yi and Yi-gang's souls will be swapped, and this forces him to live like a commoner in the village. On the other side, Dal-yi gets to enjoy the royal life, which leads to comedic moments.

At the same time, she will uncover the palace conspiracies and explore who's actually on the Prince's side. So the K-drama will also feature them adapting to a whole new lifestyle.

As for the other cast members, Lee Shin-young, Hong Su-zu, and Jin-goo will also take on major roles. The other supporting roles are played by Kim Nam-hee, Kwon Ju-seok, Kim Yun-bae, Han Sang-jo, and more.
