Mr. Robot Season 2 episode 10 premiered on September 7, 2016 and showcases Mr. Robot fully embracing its paranoid thriller identity. The episode is praised for blurring the lines between psychological warfare and political conspiracy. It's no longer just Elliot vs Evil Corp, but it's also a web of manipulation, surveillance and unseen puppeteers.

The episode opens with Phillip Price, still reeling from his last face-off with Whiterose, quietly pulling strings. He meets Terry Colby, the career executive from the season, who is now the author of The Last Honest Man. The scene is rich with satire, but also dread. Price asks Colby to lobby President Obama via a mutual contact to abstain from a vote on Congo’s sovereignty, effectively giving China unchecked power in the region. As mentioned, Season 2 of episode10 introduces Price's plan, which is certainly tied to Whiterose’s mysterious project at the Washington Township plant. On the other hand, Joanna Wellick confronts Elliot, saying that she's getting calls from Tyrell on a burner phone he sent her, suggesting a twisted gesture of affection.

Joanna tells a creepy anecdote about seducing a woman for earrings, illustrating her psychopathic resolve. She also reveals that she wants Elliot to help her trace a call. He’s reluctant, but relents after her goon forces him into it. Joanna calls him Ollie, a name Elliot used when they first met outside her home in season 1. This raises some alarming questions. Did Joanna know who he was all along? Is she toying with him?

Angela finally tells Elliot she’s planning to turn herself in to the FBI, and in this moment of clarity, they kiss, blurring the lines between allies and lovers. But Angela then sees two mysterious figures. It is not revealed if they were, FBI, E Corp or the Dark Army.

Vincent gets severely injured and ends up in the hospital, exposing their identity further in Mr. Robot's Season 2 episode 10

Agent Dom Dipierro tracks Cisco and Darlene to a dinner. Just as Dom arrives to question them, a Dark Army gunman unleashes automatic gunfire through the front windows in one of the show’s most shocking and cinematic moments. By the end, Vincent got severely injured and also died without treatment. Darlene initially hesitates but then heads to the hospital with Cisco. While Vincent gets rushed into emergency care, Darlene and Cisco wait nervously. They suspect this hospital visit could expose them, but they need to save him.

They were right about hospital authorities informing the FBI. The clock is ticking now as the FBI makes Cisco's face public. Dom must get to Cisco and Darlene before they vanish or are silenced.

Meanwhile, at Susan Jacobs’ House, FBI agents find evidence linking the apartment to F-Society’s Capitol Hill stunt. The global economy collapses due to the hack of F society, and the rise of E coin is symbolic, suggesting a larger corporate takeover of national sovereignty. Evil Corp (E Corp) introduces a centralised, corporate cryptocurrency to stabilise daily transactions. This leads to long ATM lines while the dollar is devaluing fast.

Mr. Robot presents E Corp not just as a villainous corporation but as a proto-government, controlling both finance and policy. This mirrors real-world fears about Big Tech and finance monopolies. It portrays that controlling the money supply is controlling power. Evil Corp is not just surviving the hack—it’s emerging stronger.
