In the finale episode 7 of Mrs Playmen, Adelina is seen using the symbol of the birth control pill, which is illegal to produce in Italy. Through the magazine's issue, she drives a powerful feminist message: women must have bodily autonomy and agency over what they want in life. She urges them to travel to Switzerland to obtain the birth control medicine.

This is how she turns Playmen into more than just an erotic magazine, a platform for women's empowerment. She uses the magazine to break taboos in the social discourse about the most natural things related to women.

She is also fighting a legal battle with Playboy, another magazine. Her team discovers critical evidence that helps them prove how Playboy was involved in plagiarism and even derived its name from an automobile company. This is how they win the legal battle establishing the magazine as the cultural and intellectual voice of Italy.

Saro Balsamo, Adelina's husband, returns as his arrest warrant is lifted. He tries to seize control over the magazine, still being the major shareholder. He fires Elsa and wishes to steer the magazine in a more crude and explicitly pornographic direction. This was the opposite of what Adelina had built.

The tension escalates in the episode, and during a violent confrontation, Saro physically abuses Adelina. Adelina remains stubborn. Eventually, Adelina discovers that Saro has secretly married another woman, and this gives her the leverage to force him to sell her the magazine.

In the end, Adelina buys the magazine, becoming the sole, independent owner of Playmen. On the other hand, when Elsa suffers social and legal judgment during her trial, she realizes how Adelina actually cares about women and their rights. This is what made her choose Adelina over De Cesari.

By the end, while Adelina achieves complete ownership of the magazine, Elsa and Andrea come together as they are seen sharing a kiss in the hospital. This moment symbolizes not just a romantic reconciliation but also Elsa choosing love on her own terms, after reclaiming her dignity.
