My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2 has yet to premiere on Netflix, but the subsequent installment of the show has already gotten a major filming update. As per the Directors Guild of Canada, Season 3 of the hit teen drama will begin filming on August 6, 2025.
Based on Ali Novak’s novel of the same name, which started as a Wattpad story, the show revolves around Jackie Howard, a 15-year-old girl from NYC who moves in with the Walters in countryside Colorado after the tragic death of her family.
Jackie then gets into a love triangle with two of the Walter brothers, which complicates her life. The show premiered in December 2023 and earned a positive response from the audience, which led to its early renewal for a third season.
My Life with the Walter Boys Season 3 will begin filming in August 2025
Netflix had announced My Life with the Walter Boys Season 3 in May this year, and confirmed that it will premiere in 2026. With the latest filming update, the season’s production seems to be right on track. As per reports, the season is currently in the pre-production stage, which will go on till August 5, 2025.
The cameras will then start rolling on August 6, and the shoot is expected to conclude on December 1, 2025. Hence, going by the plan, My Life with the Walter Boys Season 3 will be arriving on Netflix in 2026.
Meanwhile, the second season of the show is already in the post-production stage. The season was filmed between July and November 2024 and will premiere later in 2025. The storyline of the third installment will depend on what happens in the upcoming second chapter.
As per the official logline of Season 2, Jackie will be back in Silver Falls, Colorado, after returning to New York City in the Season 1 finale. This time around, she will try to handle the Alex and Cole situation more maturely. The synopsis reads:
“When Katherine convinces her to return to Colorado, Jackie is determined to make amends with Alex and set boundaries with Cole while finding her place within the Walter family. But fitting back in isn’t that easy.”
“Alex — who changed a lot over the summer — isn’t too thrilled about Jackie’s attempts to reconnect, as he’s focused on training for a risky rodeo event (and enjoying all of the new attention he’s getting). Cole takes on a new role at school, but when that doesn’t quite fill the void left by not playing football, his old ways creep back in and cause drama.”
