Season 2 of My Life With The Walter Boys was released earlier this year, and the reception has already been better than the first season, especially in terms of critical reviews. This specifically refers to the Netflix show's rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which was a mere 42% with critics last season.

With the current season, however, the show has seen some redemption, as the critic ratings have gone up to 67%, which is a huge improvement from the first season.

However, while the critic rating for My Life With The Walter Boys may have increased in the second season, the audience seemed to have enjoyed the first season more.

Audiences seemed to prefer Season 1 of My Life With The Walter Boys

The story of Netflix's latest popular show explores the life of 15-year-old Jackie Howard, who has been taken in by the Walter family, and her new siblings consist of seven boys and one girl. The story is a teen drama, involving a love triangle as well.

While the show focused a lot on the love triangle in the first season, it toned down the love triangle aspect in the second season, and that seemed to have worked much better for critics, as the central focus was on Howard's relationship with her siblings and the Walter family instead. This helped the show develop the character arcs much better than they did in the first season. However, this did not appeal to the audience, who complained that the story lacked the pace and focus they enjoyed in Season 1.

However, despite the duality of the reviews and ratings received by the Netflix teen drama this season, the streaming giant has already gone ahead and renewed the show for Season 3 before the verdict is completely out on Season 2.

This indicates that the writers of the show have developed a story that will unfold in Season 3 that will hopefully impress the critics further and help them further boost the reviews they received this season. The groundwork for this has already been laid in the ending episodes of Season 2.

All episodes of My Life With The Walter Boys, Season 2, are available to stream on Netflix. Season 3 of the show is set to arrive in 2026.
