My Life with the Walter Boys season two has just been released on Netflix on 28th August 2025, and the season has ended on a shocking note. Season one ended with Alex telling Jackie he loved her when he was drunk, which did not go well. Jackie did not say it back to him. Moreover, Jackie kissed Alex's older brother, Cole, and then left Silver Falls because she did not know how to deal with her feelings.

The second season of My Life with the Walter Boys starts with Jackie not feeling at home in New York and deciding to come back to Silver Falls. We see her having a complicated dynamic with both Alex and Cole, given what happened at the end of season one, but it gradually gets better, and she becomes friends with both again. Soon, Jackie rekindles her romantic relationship with Alex, while she helps Cole with studying and getting into college.

We do not see much happening between Cole and Jackie, except for the small moments where they understand each other and slowly mend their friendship. Thus, it is extremely shocking when, after telling Alex she loved him, Jackie also tells Cole she loves him at the end of the season. Nikki Rodriguez, who plays Jackie Howard, spoke about her character's decision at the end of season two, saying that it was an unexpected one.

Jackie could say she loved Alex back when he confessed his feelings to her in season one. But she does say the magical words back to him in season two. Except, soon after, she realises she also loves Cole, and confesses her feelings to him. Alex overhears her, and the season ends on a note no one expected. Jackie is confused, and Alex is heartbroken once again.

Nikki Rodriguez spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about her character's decision at the end of season two. When asked whether she thinks Jackie loves them both truly or not, she said,

"I do, I really do. I do think that she does love both. I think it’s two different types of love and I think that it is so real and relatable. You feel different ways for different people, but they’re all valid. For Jackie, it’s like loving someone so much, and then not understanding why you’re so drawn to somebody else, and you have such passion for somebody else, but just wanting to both the best for both people. So I do think she does truly love both, just in a totally different way."

What Jackie feels for the two brothers is complicated. She loves both, but she has betrayed Alex too many times. Besides, it is unknown if Jackie or Cole are ready to pursue a relationship in future seasons of My Life with the Walter Boys. When asked if she thinks Cole and Jackie will pursue a relationship or her feelings for Alex will hold her back, Rodriguez said,

"That’s a tough one. That scene is really, really tough. I don’t know what could possibly happen, but I think that whatever happens, Jackie’s always going to want to make sure that everybody involved is happy and okay, because she puts everybody else first. When I read that, I was like, “I don’t know what comes after this!”"

For shows like My Life with the Walter Boys, the question is always about which brother the girl is going to choose. For now, it is hard to guess whom Jackie will choose at the end. When asked whom Jackie might choose in season three, Rodriguez said,

"I genuinely have no idea. What’s most important for Jackie, I think, is to truly follow her heart and also never forget who she is and what’s important to her and never forget about her goals and ambitions. Whatever Jackie decides to do, I’m going to support."

The show is developed and executive-produced by Melanie Halsall, along with Edward Glauser and Becky Hartman-Edwards. Other than Rodriguez, the cast includes Noah LaLonde, Ashby Gentry, Johnny Link, Corey Fogelmanis, Connor Stanhope, Zoë Soul, Jaylan Evans, Sarah Rafferty, and Marc Blucas, among others. My Life with the Walter Boys has been renewed for a third season.
