What happened in My Youth Episodes 1-2: A quick recap

The first episode of My Youth introduces two lives far apart. Sun Woo-hae has left show business behind as he runs a simple flower shop, while Sung Je-yeon continues to thrive in the fast-paced world of entertainment.
When Je-yeon is asked to connect with him, their reunion sparks old feelings. Seeing and hearing Woo-hae's denial of wanting to return to acting is quite powerful since it shows how firmly he has closed that door in his life.
Many more familiar faces from their childhood reappear, adding levels of nostalgia. Mo Tae-rin is visibly emotional when she remembers things from the past. Seok-joo, on the other hand, directly confronts Woo-hae about his reasoning behind choosing to leave the business.
Woo-hae remained silent, avoiding any direct answer about the reasoning behind his quitting acting. At the same time, he's a novelist with a different name and likes to keep it a secret.
By the end of Episode 1, Woo-hae meets Je-yeon at night, and soon after he hugs her, his bracelet breaks. This suggests that a dream has come true. In the second episode of My Youth, the story deepens through flashbacks.
While managing work, Woo-hae is also taking care of his sister, who was abandoned by their father. The flashback also revealed how reluctant Woo-hae was to take help from his fractured family and had Je-yeon's support.
In the present, they aren't together anymore, but haven't turned against each other either. There's a heartfelt conversation between Je-yeon and Woo-hae, and he also mentions stepping into the spotlight once again.
But this time, the reason isn't fame or popularity, but to save his flower shop. His true wish is simple: to live securely and become rich.
What to expect from My Youth Episode 3-4?
In the next episode of My Youth, Woo-hae and Je-yeon will get closer as they work together. The preview features Je-yeon admitting that she also thought about Woo-hae when they parted ways.
And now, they're once again close to each other, working in the same industry. Woo-hae wants to save his flower shop and fulfill his dream of becoming rich.
