The first episode of NCIS: Origins season 2 comes with some intriguing revelations that no one expected. Even after a collapsed lung and a brain injury that would undoubtedly leave an impact, Lalal fights through it all and survives. In the very first episode, the anticipation of knowing about her survival ends. The manner in which her survival is depicted truly leaves a lasting impact. It cannot be denied that seeing Lala and Gibbs’ relationship blossom in the first season was a visual treat.
In the end, we know that Gibbs ends up marrying Diane. Hence, Lala’s survival was truly hanging by a thread. After the crash, Lala needed intense physical therapy before she could return to work. Though there is a distinct level of chemistry between the two of them, a hope remains that two of them could be together in the future.
