NCIS: Origins Season 2 Episode 2 streaming details and more
CBS becomes the home for yet another striking police procedural. NCIS: Origins Season 2 will also be available for streaming if you are not watching it on CBS. You can stream the series on Paramount+. Earlier this year, the series got renewed. It provided the fans with the much-needed relief. The first episode of the second season takes us on a rollercoaster ride filled with emotional highs and lows from the get-go.
Lala’s survival, her recovery, and her eventual return to the world, each and every aspect, is filled with a layer of complication. In the previous season, Lala and Gibbs’ relationship was slowly moving forward. They even had a romantic moment at the pool. However, it all changes in the second season. It is revealed that Gibbs has now moved on.

He is now dating Diane. Though fans of NCIS are aware that Gibbs ends up marrying Diane, it cannot be denied that discontentment arises, as many expected Gibbs and Lala to end up dating. Now that Gibbs is already dating Diane, Lala’s return to work would undoubtedly complicate things for the three of them. Lala is respectful about Gibbs’ decision to date Diane; however, a level of awkwardness remains between them.
While discussing Gibbs’ feelings for Lala and his relationship with Diane, showrunner Gina Lucita Monreal points out that Gibbs is “afraid” to lose her. After already having a traumatic past with his first wife, Gibbs does not want to go through the same. However, the complications between Lala and Gibbs are going to be “explored” in NCIS: Origins Season 2.
The light-up shoes that play a crucial role in the very first case that the team handles in the first episode are also quite significant. Gina Lucita Monreal admits that they “love” the manner in which “’90s elements” are brought forth in the investigation. This era of investigation is quite different from the one we see in NCIS.
Austin Stowell truly does a commendable job in bringing out the essence of Gibbs’ character. Through Stowell’s performance, Gibbs’ suffering is truly highlighted in a nuanced manner.
