NCIS Season 23 Episode 10 release date and streaming details

The tenth episode in NCIS Season 23 (mid-season premiere) will air on CBS on February 24 at 8 p.m. ET. As mentioned above, the network's beloved military procedural is going on its annual Winter hiatus, but for longer than usual. Unlike previous seasons, NCIS will return after a break of almost three months, probably because of the upcoming Winter Olympics. Since the Milano Cortina 2026 is a major upcoming event, CBS is clearing off its schedule to ward off competition.

Till then, fans can catch up on previous episodes on Paramount+, CBS' official streaming partner. Episode 10 will also be available to live stream on Paramount+ Showtime and on-demand (a day later) on Paramount+ Essential.

What happened in the Fall finale of Season 23?

The ninth episode of NCIS Season 23 (fall finale) was titled 'Heaven and Nature', which finally solved the murder mystery of Agent Parker's mother, Eleanor's, death. The team exhumed Eleanor's remains and instead found an unidentified woman in the casket.

The woman was Eleanor's friend Judy, who was killed by her abusive husband and a former state trooper, Lester. After Parker tracked down his childhood friend and Judy's daughter, Lily, he learned that Eleanor was trying to save Lily and had not abandoned him. Before she could have returned home, she was killed by Lester and disposed of in a lake. Parker and the team discovered Eleanor's remains and finally put her to rest.

The final moments of the episode also revealed Knight's first Elite mission, which was to track down former NCIS Special Agent Eleanor Bishop (played by ex-cast member Emily Wickersham). The episode also marked Wickersham's cameo, after she was seen tracking Knight in her car.

What can you expect from NCIS Season 23 Episode 10?

Since the Winter premiere of NCIS Season 23 is three months away, the network has yet to release official plot details about the upcoming episodes. However, the fall finale left us on an exciting cliffhanger about Wickersham's Bishop, who left the show in the Season 18 finale. To refresh your memory, Bishop was identified as the leaker of highly classified NSA documents.

However, the former agent planned to exit NCIS and take an undercover mission with Ziva’s friend Odette Malone. While the show never mentioned Bishop again, it is clear that she went rogue while in the CIA and became a shocking target for NCIS: Elite. While Knight immediately recognized Bishop, she was asked to keep the details of her mission secret.

NCIS Season 23 Episode 10 will likely expand on Bishop's backstory and Knight's Elite mission. Fans can expect to uncover long-buried secrets about Bishop's former life, which will surely affect Torres and Knight's relationship.

Catch NCIS Season 23 Episode 10 on CBS on February 24.
