Two of NCIS’s most-missed agents are finally clocking back in NCIS: Tony & Ziva. Paramount+ has ordered a 10-episode international caper reuniting Michael Weatherly’s quick-witted Anthony DiNozzo with Cote de Pablo’s lethal Mossad liaison, Ziva David.

The revival will arrive as the greater franchise celebrates a milestone of 1,000 episodes and a reach of over 300 million viewers worldwide on broadcast, cable, streaming and syndication. For long-time "Tiva" fans, the show is more than a typical spin-off.

It's the first on-screen pairing of the characters in over a decade, and hopefully, they are treated to a show with romance, family conflicts and spy-level shenanigans. Early buzz supports this as the trailer received 93 million views in one week, a record for any NCIS spin-off, and is now Paramount+'s most-watched Season 1 trailer ever.

With a September launch locked in, here's a summary of dates, cast, plot and what this series means to the ever-expanding NCIS universe. Keep reading!

The much-awaited NCIS: Tony & Ziva spin-off is officially set to premiere on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Fans can binge the first three episodes on release day, and then catch a new episode every Thursday, leading up to the season finale on October 23.

So far, it’s planned as a 10-episode limited series, but with the buzz it’s generating, a renewal wouldn’t be surprising. Viewers can stream it exclusively on Paramount+, as there’s no CBS broadcast scheduled.

The show will be available under their standard ad-supported plan, which currently starts at around $7.99/month. What’s more exciting is that the series was filmed across Paris, Budapest, and the Canary Islands, giving it a stylish international feel that’s quite different from the usual NCIS setting.

The cast of NCIS: Tony & Ziva brings back some fan-favorite faces along with a few fresh names to shake things up. Michael Weatherly returns as the charming and sharp-witted Tony DiNozzo, while Cote de Pablo steps back into her iconic role as the fearless and emotionally complex Ziva David.

Their on-screen daughter, Tali, will be played by Isla Gie, bringing a new dynamic to the family-centered storyline. Joining them are some interesting new characters: Amita Suman plays Claudette, a tech expert; Maximilian Osinski appears as Boris, a white-hat hacker; and Julian Ovenden plays Jonah, connected to Interpol.

Michael Weatherly & Cote De Pablo said:

"Returning to these roles together on screen after more than a decade has been an unforgettable journey packed with lies, spies, danger, desire … and self-driving murder cars."

There’s also Lara Rossi as Sophie, Tali’s protective nanny, and James D’Arcy as Henry, another Interpol link. With a mix of old chemistry and new personalities, the cast of NCIS: Tony & Ziva seems perfectly lined up to deliver emotional moments, action, and global intrigue.

The narrative takes up many years after Ziva’s shocking return from the dead and her reconnection with Tony in Paris. With 12-year-old Tali, they have lived a quiet life until Tony’s private security firm gets blown up.

As they are forced to flee for their lives across Europe, the trio will not only have to discover who is trying to kill them, but will also have to start trusting one another enough to survive. Fans can expect plenty of references to the parent show.

From fake names for being undercover to classic elevator conversations, this time set against the backdrops of cathedrals, safe houses, and, as Weatherly said, "self-driving murder cars."
