Bridgerton Season 4 is one of the most anticipated releases from Netflix, considering how loved Benedict's character has been since the first season.

The streamer announced in September that production had been completed for the titular clan's second eldest's story and that it would premiere sometime in 2026.

Since this update, fans have been looking forward to a release date from Netflix, but to no avail. Well, according to an accidental slip from Netflix, the release date might be sooner than expected.

Here's everything we know about the Bridgerton Season 4 release date reveal.

Netflix accidentally reveals the release date for Bridgerton Season 4

Bridgerton Season 3 wrapped up Colin and Penelope's love story with Penelope revealing her Lady Whistledown secret to the world and taking the courageous step to live life in the open. Since the season's conclusion, fans have been looking forward to updates regarding Benedict's love story and received plenty when his love interest was announced in the form of Yerin Ha's Sophie Baek.

"The fourth season of Bridgerton turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict (Luke Thompson). Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down - until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball."

The September announcement from the streamer that production had been wrapped started a frenzy among fans about the release window.

Turns out, mistakes can happen even with the giant streamer, and such was the case for the Bridgerton Season 4 release date. In a now-deleted post on Instagram from Netflix Neverlands, the poster and release date for the fourth season were revealed.

As has been Netflix's mode of operation with its bigger releases, such as Stranger Things and Wednesday, Season 4 has been split into two parts, which will be released separately. According to the now-deleted post, which was quickly reposted by many accounts, the fourth season is set to release in January and February of 2026.

The first part of Bridgerton is set to release on Thursday, January 29, whereas the second part will be released after a month-long gap on February 26th.

There were no reveals about the number of episodes in each part, but all three seasons before the fourth season have had eight episodes each, so that might be the case for this season, as well. There is a chance that both parts of the season have been divided into four episodes each, but we'll have to wait until the official announcement from the streamer to know.

Considering there won't be any last-minute changes to this release date owing to the slip-up from Netflix Netherlands, marketing for the season will begin around the same time as the Stranger Things final season's release. Bridgerton has already been renewed for two more seasons, and production for the fifth is set to begin in 2026 after the fourth season's release, so we still have a lot to look forward to from this clan.
