It's been just a year since Netflix and AMC signed a streaming partnership, which led to dramas from AMC finding a home on the streaming giant's platform as well. This partnership has now been extended and expanded, marking it as a lucrative deal for both streamers.
The extension and expansion of the streaming partnership has led to a slew of titles being added to the streaming giant's platform under the AMC Collection banner.
Here's how this streaming partnership will impact your viewing habits.
Netflix expands its streaming partnership with AMC Networks
AMC Networks and Netflix signed a lucrative streaming partnership in July 2024, more than a year ago, which led to 15 titles appearing under the curated AMC collection on the streaming giant's platform.

These titles led to one or more seasons of some existing titles from AMC, including The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, and The Walking Dead: Dead City, to launch under the AMC Collection banner on Netflix.
Under the latest expansion, more titles such as Orphan Black, Parish, and more seasons of the existing titles will be joining the AMC Collection banner. From the second season of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, The Walking Dead: Dead City, Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon to the third season of Dark Winds, a lot of titles are set to be included in the Netflix library.
Along with expansion in titles, the new deal also expands in terms of availability, as the titles mentioned above will also be available in certain overseas markets. The expansion and extension of the streaming partnership was recently announced with the AMC Network CEO, Kristin Dolan, who referred to Netflix as an incredibly valuable partner.
"We are pleased to expand and extend our branded content licensing agreement with Netflix, with an even stronger focus on the franchises that are resonating with viewers and performing so well."
The partnership allowed AMC to gain access to the vast viewership of the streaming giant and lure some of them to the AMC+ streaming service for the upcoming seasons. It appears that the deal was also beneficial for the streaming giant in viewership, as it has now been expanded and extended. The AMC titles available under the collection banner on the streaming giant generated 210M global views in the last year.
Whereas for AMC Networks, the deal led to a significant increase in viewership after the premiere seasons were made available on the streaming giants, as well as an uptick in subscriber acquisition in the second half of 2024 and the first half of 2025.

The subscriber acquisition was primarily positively affected through this streaming deal. AMC+ concludes this through "first streams" (the first thing that the viewer chooses to watch after subscribing), which were the franchise series that have premiere seasons on the streaming giant.
Primarily intended as a promotional move, the streaming partnership has proven to be beneficial for both parties involved, so hopefully this partnership continues to blossom.
