Netflix is adding a brand-new project to its animated series section with Haunted Hotel.
The streamer is slowly building up its animated series section with interesting projects, and according to reports, it acquired this project in a highly competitive bid and gave it a straight-to-series order as soon as it was acquired.
Considering Netflix's trust in the project and the fact that the minds behind this animated series are also the ones behind the wildly successful Rick and Morty, it is poised to be one of the bigger hits for the streamer.

What is Haunted Hotel about?
According to official statements from Netflix and the creator of the show, Matt Roller, Haunted Hotel is set to bring the stories of the struggling hospitality workers, of the dead, and of the evil to life. It is set to chronicle the troubles of a single mother who is struggling to manage a hotel, the Undervale, a haunted one at that, by herself.
The only help she has is from an estranged brother, who has now joined the ranks of the ghosts that have been haunting the Undervale. Things take a creepy yet comedic turn when her estranged brother seems to think that the ghosts have great ideas when it comes to helping his sister run the hotel.
The exact details of the plot, or the characters' names, have not been revealed as of now, but considering the creatives behind the project, it is destined to be nothing short of hilarious.
This haunted family comedy is set to take viewers for an iconic ride as the single mother struggles to serve the guests with only the ghosts that are haunting her hotel for help.
Who is behind Netflix's Haunted Hotel
An amazing cast and crew are coming together for this hilarious visit to the creepy and haunted Undervale. The series creator and showrunner, Matt Roller, said that he is incredibly excited to bring this fresh and inventive show to Netflix. Roller was one of the writers for Rick and Morty, and also for projects like Community, Speechless, Archer, and Son of Zorn.
He will be joined by Chris McKenna, as executive producer, who was behind Spider-Man: Far From Home, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Rick & Morty. Dan Harmon and Steve Levy (Community, Rick and Morty) will also be joining as executive producers. To round up the Rick and Morty reunion, Erica Hayes will also serve as supervising director.
The Haunted Hotel cast list includes voice actors Will Forte, Skyler Gisondo, Eliza Coupe, Jimmi Simpson, and Natalie Palamides in undisclosed roles.
Netflix revealed that, to the delight of Rick and Morty fans as they wait for another season, this new animated series from the creators of the beloved sitcom is all set to premiere on September 19, 2025.
