Netflix's Assassin's Creed adaptation is finally taking shape with its leads now cast. Assassin's Creed casts Say Nothing star Lola Petticrew as Toby Wallace's co-lead in the Netflix adaptation

Assassin's Creed is a high-stakes game that first debuted in 2007, following the age-old conflict between two factions, the Assassins and the Templars. It is a fight to preserve free will over manipulation and control, where both factions use powerful artifacts called Pieces of Eden and historical events to achieve their opposing views of humanity and what its future should be.

Netflix's adaptation of the game was greenlit in 2025, and soon enough, Toby Wallace was revealed as the first co-lead and series regular. The adaptation is set to take the spirit of the rivalry between the Assassins and the Templars, with Toby Wallace and now Lola Petticrew as the co-leads of a new story with new characters, per Netflix. Petticrew has previously starred in FX's Say Nothing, Tresspasses, Three Families, Anne Bleyn, and Bloodlands. Her film credits include Wolf, Dating Amber, and Tuesday.

The official logline for the adaptation reads:

"Assassin’s Creed will be a high-octane thriller centered on the secret war between two shadowy factions — one set on determining mankind’s future through control and manipulation, the other fighting to preserve free will. The series will follow its characters across pivotal historical events as they battle to shape humanity’s destiny."

Exact details about Toby Wallace and Lola Petticrew are being kept under wraps at the moment, and since this is a new story starring new characters, it is difficult to guess what the co-leads could be playing. However, reports from Deadline do reveal that Italy might be serving as the setting for this intriguing new story from Netflix's Assassin's Creed.

Netflix's Assassin's Creed finds David Wiener and Robert Patino as creators, executive producers, and showrunners. Ubisoft Film & Television is co-producing the show alongside Netflix, with Gerard Guillemot, Genevieve Jones, and Austin Dill serving as executive producers alongside Matt O'Toole.

The franchise has managed to create one of the longest-lasting sagas in gaming by incorporating ancient cities, political intrigue, revolutionary eras, and philosophical warfare with some of the most interesting characters.
