Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 was released on Netflix on August 3, 2025, and has already scored 83% on the Tomatometer and 85% on the Popcornmeter at the time of this article's writing. Wednesday Season 1 is one of the most-streamed shows on Netflix, giving Season 2 a high standard to meet.
Irrespective of records and numbers, Wednesday Season 1 Part 1 has been quite the success, and Netflix is celebrating the new season with a new selection of profile icons. The new selection includes icons of characters from both seasons 1 and 2.
Wednesday characters can now be your profile icons
Wednesday has been one of the biggest successes of Netflix. Season 2 of the show has been a highly anticipated one, and with the buildup created by Part 1, fans are understandably eager for Part 2.
Season 2 Part 1 began with Wednesday returning to Nevermore, which now has a new Principal. On the very first day, two murders take place, and Wednesday finds out she has a stalker. That sets the tone for the rest of the season, which is expected to be dark, mysterious, and twisted.
Netflix is celebrating the new season with a new collection of profile cons. The selection includes the Addams Family, three students of Nevermore, the infamous Hyde, a zombie, Thing, and Principal Dort. Hence, you can now choose any of these characters' images to be your profile icon on Netflix.
The selection obviously has Wednesday Addams (played by Jenna Ortega), the protagonist of the show. According to Tudum by Netflix, in Season 2, she:
... must navigate family, friends, and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem.
Morticia Addams (played by Catherine Zeta-Jones), Wednesday's mother, is also in the selection. As Tudum by Netflix describes her, Morticia is:
the definition of spooky glamour
Gomez Addams (played by Luis Guzmán) is one of the characters you can select as your icon. He is Wednesday's father and loves his wife and family deeply. Grandmama Hester Frump (played by Joanna Lumley) is a new addition to the show, and she is also part of the new selection. Grandmother Hester is Morticia's mother, who is a successful businesswoman and someone with whom Wednesday gets along with.
Uncle Fester (played by Fred Armisen), the uncle with telekinetic powers, is also part of the selection. He is Wednesday's uncle, and the only other person she gets along with great, other than Hester. Wednesday's brother, Pugsley Addams (played by Isaac Ordonez), is also part of the selection, who is also enrolling at Nevermore in Season 2.
Enid Sinclair (played by Emma Myers), Bianca Barclay (played by Joy Sunday), and Agnes DeMille (Evie Templeton) are also characters who are part of the selection. Enid is Wednesday's roommate and close friend. Bianca is a popular student and siren at Nevermore, while Agnes is a student who comes into the spotlight in Season 2.
We cannot forget Thing (played by Victor Dorobantu), and neither did Netflix when they created the new selection of profile icons. Despite being a cut-out hand, Thing has a personality and is a loved member of the Addams family. Principal Dort, Slurp, and Tyler Galpin are also part of the new selection.
Principal Dort is the new principal at Nevermore, following the former principal, Larissa Weems' demise. Tyler returns in Season 2, but he is kept captive in a mental asylum, and Slurp is a new character, more like a zombie of a former Nevermore student, whom Pugsley brings back to life by mistake.
