The Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 twist has fans obsessed with Will Byers and his newfound powers, but it is nothing compared to Steve Harrington's obsession with Boppers. Netflix recently combined every time Harrington has referred to his favorite snack, Bopper, in the latest season, and it is a testament to his obsession with it.

The hilarious video finds Joe Keery's Harrington overjoyed when receiving a Bopper, and his obsession goes as far as him using a Bopper analogy to make a life-or-death decision as well.

Keep reading to find out more about Steve Harrington's love of Boppers in Stranger Things Season 5.

Step aside, Eleven and Eggo Waffles, there's a brand-new food obsession in town on Stranger Things Season 5.

Food obsessions are not new on Stranger Things. From the very first time Eleven tastes Eggo Waffles at Mike's home to the triple-decker Eggo extravaganza that Hopper prepares for her, Eleven's love for Eggo Waffles is not hidden. Even in Season 2, when she robs a store with Kali and her group, she finds herself stealing boxes and boxes of Eggo Waffles.

So, every time Eleven is spotted with a box of Eggo Waffles, it's a reminder of her innocence. Not to mention, food brand advertisements, however innocuous, are quite common on Stranger Things. While we're yet to find Eleven eating her favorite food on Stranger Things Season 5, there is a brand-new food obsession that fans are enjoying.

The first mention is in Stranger Things Season 5 Episode 1, 'The Crawl', when Murray brings a pack of them for Joe Keery's Steve Harrington in his essentials delivery, meaning they were literally the only thing Steve asked for. The happiness on his face when he receives them is a sight to behold:

"Boppers! God, I missed these things. Thanks."

They are mentioned again in Episode 2 when he offers them to Jonathan while they're waiting on the road for their truck to charge. However, the funniest mention is when Steve uses the analogy of a peanut butter bopper to make a life-and-death decision. To say that everybody was terrified for their lives because of his analogy is an understatement.

Steve, Nancy, Dustin, and Jonathan are all trying to track a Demogorgon when it opens a gate into the Upside Down, and Steve has the insane plan to drive the car into the Upside Down through the gate. The problem is, however, that there is no guarantee that they wouldn't just find themselves crashing, or that they would even make it through the gate in time.

In this high-stakes situation, Steve uses the analogy of a peanut butter bopper to explain that gates are hard on the outside and soft on the inside, like a bopper making their plan to drive through the gate slightly feasible, if only they can reach in time:

"Wait. Gates are like Peanut Butter Boppers, right? The outside is, like, crunchy and tough. But bite down on it, it gives way to a gooey, creamy core. I drive fast enough, the beamer can punch a hole into the gate, and then we can track the Demo on its home turf in the Upside Down. Follow it back home. We won’t crash if it’s like a Bopper!"

And as their luck would have it, his analogy was spot on, and they managed to make it through the gate without crashing. However, to find out if Steve's beloved car made it through this trip to the Upside Down, you'll have to stream the four episodes of Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 on Netflix.
