More about Leo Woodall starring in Vladimir

Netflix has signed rising British actor Leo Woodall as the male protagonist in the forthcoming limited series Vladimir, alongside Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz as its lead. Based on Julia May Jonas' novel, the eight-part series will delve into themes of obsession, power, and emotional disintegration. Weisz is reported to play a lady whose life spirals out of control as she develops an unhealthy infatuation with her new coworker, played by Woodall.

With Merman, Small Dog Picture Company, and 20th Television supporting the project, as reported by Digital Spy, Netflix has hailed the project as a "powerhouse collaboration" with strong creative talents, praising it for its compelling narrative and multi-layered characters.

Woodall plays Vladimir, a young and charismatic coworker who unwittingly becomes the target of his superior's hazardous fantasies. This is a significant step forward for Woodall, who has swiftly established himself on television. His portrayal is supposed to give depth and interest to the character, increasing the show's emotional complexity.

High-profile projects are nothing new for Leo Woodall, as his role as Jack in Season 2 of HBO's acclaimed series The White Lotus was the first to earn him recognition after playing spoilt yet empathetic Dexter Mayhew in the Netflix adaptation of One Day in 2024. He received praise for his moving performance and on-screen chemistry with co-star Ambika Mod for the latter.

His most recent appearances include the romantic comedy Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, where he plays a bold, younger love interest opposite Renée Zellweger, and the thriller show Prime Target streaming on Apple TV+.

Woodall was trained at ArtsEd and hails from a family of performers in West London. Since starting his career in 2019, he has progressively accumulated a solid portfolio of parts in television and films. Woodall is well-known for his charisma, adaptability, and effortless on-screen persona. His part in Vladimir is expected to solidify his position as a top actor in British drama.

Vladimir is looking to be one of Netflix's most anticipated new series because of its gripping plot, talented actors, and skilled production crew.
