Stranger Things Season 5 Vol 1 has revealed many interesting plot twists till now, and one of them is Vecna appearing to the children of Hawkins as Mr. Whatsit. The first four episodes of Season 5 showed us how Holly was talking to an imaginary friend, but that friend was soon revealed to be Henry, aka Vecna.Henry is smart; he knows he cannot manipulate children by appearing to them in his real form, and thus, in Stranger Things Season 5 Vol 1, he appears to them in the body of Henry. He is dressed in a shirt, vest, and suit, paired with glasses and a hat. In Stranger Things Season 5, we see a different version of him, Mr. Whatsit. He appears to the children of Hawkins as a friendly man and says that he will protect them and their families from the monsters. Little do the innocent children know that Henry is the one sending the monsters (Demogorgons) in the first place. When she's talking to him at school, a teacher sees her and is concerned since Holly seems to be talking to no one. The teacher informs Karen Wheeler, but Karen and Ted just brush it off as Holly having an imaginary friend, as kids often do at that age.But we soon see how a Demogorgon attacks the Wheeler house, fatally injures Karen and Ted, and takes Holly with him into the Upside Down. There, Henry pretends to be Holly's friend and protector and traps her in his memories, asking her not to leave the Creel House (the beautiful and normal one in his memories).Netflix has now released a new poster of this version of Vecna, that is, Mr. Whatsit. The poster is accompanied by the caption that states the different names the show's villain is known as, written in strikethrough text, followed by his new disguise, Mr. Whatsit. Will, Mile, Lucas, Robin, and Joyce figure out that Henry is Mr. Whatsit, luring the children, and try to save them. But at the last moment, Vecna and his Demogorgons come, attack the military base, causing huge destruction, and take the children with them into the Upside Down. Luckily, Holly meets Max in Henry's memories, who has been hiding out in a cave that Henry is terrified to enter.
