Netflix has cast a new actor to play Hakoda. As per the storyline, he would be Sokka and Katara's father in Season 3 of Avatar: The Last Airbender. For this, Adam Beach will take up the job from Joel Montgrand this season, and this casting news comes as the live-action series begins production.

Hakoda is one of the most pivotal characters. This is particularly in the show’s season 3, when he leads the Water Tribe's fight against the Fire Nation. Adam Beach, known for his work in blockbusters this primarily includes Suicide Squad and acclaimed dramas like Dance Me Outside. He offers expertise and presence to this critical part, and Beach, a member of the Dog Creek First Nations in Canada, has received positive feedback from admirers.

Joel Montgrand played the role of Hakoda in Season 1 and had an appearance in the 2020 movie Beans. His reasons for leaving the position have not been disclosed to the public. Season 3 production is underway in Iceland, with plans to return to Vancouver shortly.

This modification emphasizes the show's emphasis on Hakoda's growing prominence as the narrative nears its conclusion. Hakoda was an important character in the original animated series, and it appears that this will continue to be the case in the live-action adaptation.

As the unique program progresses, viewers may anticipate that his character will have a significant influence.
