Netflix's Dept. Q and the Harry Potter films have a unique link that you probably didn't notice before today, and once you do, you cannot unsee it or unhear it. Shirley Henderson, who played one of the most iconic roles in the Harry Potter franchise, has returned to our screens, this time in the dark, twisty Netflix thriller.

Dept. Q is a Netflix adaptation of Jussi Adler-Olsen's novel series of the same name. The series follows a cold case, the disappearance of a prosecutor under extremely suspicious circumstances four years ago. Detective Carl Mock is assigned this cold case after his previous case ended with the death of a police officer and another officer injured.

Dept. Q by itself is an excellent watch, and if you're in the mood for a mysterious, dark, and twisty (Meredith Grey-style) thriller that constantly keeps you on the edge of your seat, you're in for a ride. However, when watching the Netflix show, one of the actors might strike you to be somewhat familiar, and even if you aren't able to recognize their face, you'll recognize their voice after we tell you who it is.

Shirley Henderson plays Claire Marsh, a caretaker hired by Merrit, an Edinburgh prosecutor who has now been missing for four years, to care for her younger brother William. Shirley does a wonderful job of conveying her emotions and has her audience extremely hooked, but she once played a role that no Potterhead will ever be able to forget.

"Let's all throw books at Myrtle, because she can't feel it! Ten points if you get it through her stomach! Fifty points if it goes through her head!"

Did you read it in her voice? Yes, we're talking about the iconic Moaning Myrtle, played by Shirley Henderson, who we first saw in Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, as the ghost who resided in the girls' bathroom where the trio made the Polyjuice Potion after she was killed by Tom Riddle, aka Voldemort's basilisk. She was also seen in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, when she helped Harry figure out the clue hidden in the Dragon Egg in the Prefect's washroom.

Moaning Myrtle is one of the most iconic characters in the Wizarding World, and fans lapped up every not-so-subtle flirty appearance that she made in the movies. Shirley Henderson did a fantastic job as Moaning Myrtle and continues to do so as Claire Marsh in Dept Q.

All episodes of Dept. Q are now available to stream on Netflix!
