Neuromancer is an upcoming Apple TV science fiction show that is going to be released on Apple approximately in 2026. Created by Graham Roland and J. D. Dillard, the show will follow Case, a skilled hacker who gets entangled in cybercrime, and Molly, a lethal assassin. Together, they will have to stop two advanced AIs from uniting and developing into one immensely powerful digital consciousness.

Filming for Neuromancer has wrapped up, but as Callum Turner, who plays Case in the upcoming show, told ScreenRant, the show will not be released too soon. He also hyped up the upcoming show. Keep reading to know more.

Callum Turner talks about Neuromancer

Callum Turner, the actor known for his performances in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, Masters of the Air, The Capture, and Glue, plays the lead in Neuromancer, Henry Dorsett Case. Case and Molly have to carry out a heist, but this isn't your usual heist. It involves two AIs, Wintermute and Neuromancer, whose merger would create a digital consciousness too powerful to be allowed.

Speaking to ScreenRant, Callum Turner shared his experience working on the show and hyped it, giving us some hints as to what we can expect from it. As Turner said,

"I've never done a sci-fi before, so it was interesting. The thing about Neuromancer is that it's a world that could exist. It's not a world where you think, "Oh, what's that?""

It is interesting to see that the show will be set in a realistic world, as this can reflect our anxieties about AI and its capabilities. Artificial Intelligence is progressing day by day, getting incorporated in almost every aspect of our lives, from work to art. In such a climate, a show about the merging of two AIs and how that needs to be prevented might just be an impactful show to watch.

The show is based on the novel of the same name by William Gibson, and Turner mentioned how Gibson was pressing during the production process. Thus, fans of the author can rest assured that the adaptation is going to do justice to the source material. As Turner said,

"We had William Gibson a part of the process, and it's his book. It's his vision,"

Neuromancer stars Callum Turner as Case, Briana Middleton as Molly, Joseph Lee as Hideo, Mark Strong as Armitage, Clémence Poésy as Marie-France Tessier, or Lady3 Jane, Peter Sarsgaard as John Ashpool, Emma Laird as Linda Lee, Dane DeHaan as Peter Riviera, Max Irons as Jean Tessier-Ashpool, André De Shields as Julius Deane, and Marc Menchaca as Dixie Flatline.

The production companies behind the show are Paramount Television Studios, Anonymous Content, and DreamCrew Entertainment.

Neuromancer is expected to be released sometime in 2026.
