Being a witcher, he fights monsters, not men."I think that Geralt as a character, has made this decision to not get involved in the matters of men. That's what Witchers do – they fight monsters. They do not involve themselves with humans."However, this clip finds Geralt fighting men, symbolizing a shift in his character, where he has to concern himself with matters of humans."But we've seen over the seasons that Geralt has shifted quite a bit. Obviously, he met Yennefer, he falls in love. He has this child surprise, who really becomes his daughter in his soul. And you start to see that he realises that he is meshed with humans, even if he didn't intend to be."Per Hemsworth and Schmidt-Hissrich, when we find Geralt in The Witcher Season 4, he is at a place in his emotional journey where he has to accept change and vulnerability.
