New episodes of The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball stream from December, release date revealed

The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, the revival animated series of The Amazing World of Gumball (2012-2029), is returning right fresh episodes soon. The first twenty episodes of the series were released on Hulu in the United States on July 28, 2025, and the release date for new episodes has just been revealed.

The new episodes will be available for streaming on Hulu less than six months after the first set of episodes was released. As Hulu shared on Instagram, new episodes of The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball will be released on Hulu on December 22, 2025.

The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball is an animated series for children that follows the lives and adventures of blue cat Gumball Watterson and his family. The characters of the show are all animals and anthropomorphic. Along with Gumball, the series features his family, which includes his younger adoptive brother, Darwin, who is a fish, their younger adoptive sister, Anais, a pink rabbit, and their parents, Richard, a blue cat, and Nicole, a pink rabbit. The Watterson kids go to Elmore Junior High, and the show also features their and their schoolmates' adventures in school.

It hasn't even been six months since the first twenty episodes of the show were released on Hulu, and the platform is about to release the next set of episodes this winter. This is great news for kids who love the show, and perhaps better news for parents who were hoping for fresh new episodes for their children. Hulu revealed the date of release for new episodes of the show on Instagram with the caption,

The main voice cast of The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball includes Alkaio Thiele as Gumball Watterson, Hero Hunter as Darwin Watterson, Kinza Syed Khan as Anais Watterson, Teresa Gallagher as Nicole Watterson, and Dan Russell as Richard Watterson. Other voice cast members include Ben Bocquelet, Max Cazier, Maria Teresa Creasey, Sandra Searles Dickinson, Stefan Ashton Frank, Rich Fulcher, Steve Furst, Hugo Harold-Harrison, Alex Jordan, Simon Lipkin, Adam Long, Jessica McDonald, Naomi McDonald, Naoko Mori, Giles New, Alexis Platt, Alix Wilton Regan, Liza Ross, Clive Russell, and Kerry Shale.

The show is created by Ben Bocquelet and developed by Matt Layzell and Erik Fountain. Bocquelet, Layzell, and Fountain are showrunners of the series and also executive producers. Other executive producers include Sarah Fell and Sam Register. The show is directed by Layzell, Fountain, Luke Allen, and James Lancett. Emma Fernando and Ryan Slater are the producers, and the production companies behind the show are Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe and Studio Soi.

New episodes of The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball will be released on Hulu on December 22, 2025, in the USA, and on Cartoon Network and HBO Max internationally in February 2026. The first season is streaming on Hulu.
