New images from Stranger Things Season 5 Vol 2 released

As we step into the Holiday season, the Stranger Things Season 5 Vol 2 release also moves closer than ever. After the exceptional four episodes of the first volume, fans have been waiting for a look at the second volume of the fifth and final season, and the Duffer brothers have finally complied.

Netflix recently released four brand-new pictures from the second batch of episodes, set to release on December 25, 2025. These pictures have led to eagle-eyed fans trying to guess the direction that the story is heading in for the final season.

Netflix reveals brand new look at Stranger Things Season 5 Vol 2

After the internet went crazy over the first batch of episodes for the final season of Stranger Things, Netflix is building up the anticipation for the second volume of the show. Fans are using the gap between the two volumes to come up with every possible theory about what might happen in the Netflix blockbuster's final season.

These fan theories have been pushed to another level after Netflix released brand-new images from the second volume.

One of these pictures finds Will, Joyce, and Mike looking up at something in Stranger Things Season 5 Vol 2. They appear to be terrified or shocked, but eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that this picture looked like it was a continuation of the final scene of the first volume, where Will accessed his powers through the Hivemind.

This picture led fans to assume that the first episode of Stranger Things Season 5 Vol 2 would start right where the fourth episode ended. Even though Will got powers and saved Mike, Lucas, and Robin from Demogorgons, in the fourth episode, Vecna did manage to take the children of Hawkins with him. So, the fifth episode will, in most probability, finally reveal the mysterious and dangerous thing that Vecna needed the children for, which Will also saw in his visions.

Another picture featured Millie Bobby Brown's Eleven in the Hawkins Radio Station, with her sight and hearing blocked so that she can access her powers and get into somebody's mind. It isn't clear who she is trying to locate, but it could be Vecna, or Max, or even Holly.

Will is featured yet again in the third photo, but this time around, he's with Robin and Lucas, and they're holding onto makeshift weapons, ready to attack, looking up into the sky.

Last but not least, the final picture features another one of Vecna's identities. He's Henry Creel, he's number one, he's Vecna, but for the kids of Hawkins, he's Mr. Whatsit. It appears to be raining in the picture, and Mr. Whatsit stares ahead in an intriguing and mysterious shot.

The final few episodes of Stranger Things Season 5 Vol 2 are closer than ever, and according to the Duffer brothers, the second volume will reveal more information about Vecna and his memories, so we might even find out why he is scared of entering the cave. Nevertheless, there are a lot of mysteries and not many answers at the moment, so we'll have to hold on until Christmas Eve to find out more.
