The Witcher is a fantasy series on Netflix based on Andrzej Sapkowski's novels of the same name. It follows Geralt of Rivia, a genetically enhanced monster hunter whose destiny is intertwined with that of Princess Ciri and the witch Yennefer. The world of The Witcher is reminiscent of the Middle Ages, filled with magic, strife, and supernatural forces.

For the first three seasons, Henry Cavill portrays Geralt. However, in season four, Liam Hemsworth takes over the iconic role. The show is currently in its third season, with a fifth and final season confirmed by Netflix. Spin-offs include Nightmare of the Wolf, Sirens of the Deep, and Blood Origin.

A newly surfaced image from a UK production facility gives fans their first look at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt in The Witcher Season 4. As the series nears its conclusion, fans seem to be eager to see Hemsworth's version of the White Wolf.

More about Liam Hemsworth in The Witcher Season 4

Fans got their first official look at Liam Hemsworth's character as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's The Witcher Season 4, thanks to a new poster that was discovered inside a UK production studio. Redanian Intelligence on X (previously Twitter) shared the photo, which showed Hemsworth in full Witcher garb.

The image, highlighting Geralt's distinctive pendant, dark armor, and posed stance, suggests a fresh yet familiar take on the character. While it doesn't reveal his full appearance, it's enough to fuel anticipation for Season 4.

Henry Cavill, who portrayed Geralt for the first three seasons, is replaced by Hemsworth in the upcoming season, which is currently in production. There is a fifth season announced as the series finale. The two seasons together are said to adapt the last three volumes of Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher saga—Lady of the Lake, Tower of the Swallow, and Baptism of Fire. A thrilling continuation that will test the characters' limitations and offer a satisfying resolution to the story has been promised by showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich.

Hemsworth has expressed his excitement about joining the mythical world of The Witcher, calling the chance "an honor." He is reportedly a long-time admirer of the series and has applauded Cavill's performance. Now it is his job to carry Geralt's legacy forward, as the White Wolf recovers from combat, searches for the true Ciri, and faces new threats across the continent.

Hemsworth, who has acted for more than 15 years, is expected to offer a blend of action credibility and emotional depth to the part.

Even though the picture is only a teaser, it signals the beginning of a new chapter in The Witcher's story. Hemsworth's complete transition into Geralt is anticipated to generate excitement, as more details become available with regard to how the 35-year-old actor contributes to the character's calm intensity and power.
